Osama's hideout:
The devil holing up in Evil Mountain?

Toronto-- Flattering to consider that someone writing tongue-in-cheek to www.myway.com thinks that Porter Goss, the director of the CIa got his ideas where Osama bin Laden may be hiding from canadapress.com.

Goss stated in an interview with Time for the magazine's June 27 issue, that he has an "excellent idea" where Osama bin Laden is hiding, but that the United States' respect for sovereign nations makes it more difficult to capture the al-Qaida chief.

"When you go to the question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play," Goss said. "We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways."

asked whether that meant he knew where bin Laden is, Goss responded": "I have an excellent idea where he is. What's the next question?"

Goss did not say where he thinks bin Laden is, nor did he specify what country or countries he was referring to when he spoke of foreign sanctuaries. But american officials have long said they believed bin Laden was hiding in rugged mountains along the afghan-Pakistani border.

"Maybe (the real) Saddam is hiding it out with Osama bin Laden in Yamantau in the Urals, the only place on earth where the U.S. can't get to him," CFP wrote in its June 1, 2005 cover story, TheSecond Saddam.

"Osama IS at Yamantau mountain. Oddly enough, the article comes out on The Second Saddam and suddenly, Porter Goss has an excellent idea of where Osama is, but sensitivities regarding Sovereign Countries blocks (sic) us from getting him," said the writer to myway.com. "Pakistan? I doubt it. China? They depend on us for a market and our treasury bonds. Iran? and give us the best excuse in the world to bomb their nuke facilities? That leaves Russia. That then leaves Yamantau mountain. That is why Bush and Cheney are allegedly "obsessed" with what is going on there. He is there with the real, white haired Saddam."

Officials have been less than forthcoming on reporting back on Saddam's DNa. CFP asked whether people questioning if the prisoner in the BVDs is the real Saddam or one of his many doubles, could have a point.

In Bashkir Yamantau mountain translates to "Evil Mountain".

But that's not the only reason why Yamantau and not the afghan-Pakistan border would be a more fitting place for the world's number one terrorist at large.

according to U.S. Congressman Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md), Yamantau is "the largest nuclear-secure project in the world."

The Yamantau mountain complex covers an area of some 400 sq. miles, or as Rick Lowry (National Review, Feb. 25, 2002) puts it, "as large as the area inside the Washington Beltway".

Construction of the mammoth facility began during the 1970s during the Soviet Union era of the Leonid Brezhnev administration.

Geographically located in a closed zone near the city of Mezhgorye, in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan, north of the Kazakhstan border, it's a huge underground facility, complete with railways, in a huge underground facility embedded deep within Yamantau mountain. Costing over $7-billion, the complex is supported by some 60,000 workers who live in the nearby towns of Beloretsk and Tirlyanskiy.

Ever pressed for more details by the guys who sign their pay cheques, spies with the National Security agency (NSa) are nonplussed about the intriguing absence of notable telecommunications support facilities for the complex. an underground network, KGB style Yamantau is believed to be an alternate "doomsday" command center for the Russian government and military in the event of a nuclear, biological or chemical attack.

U.S. intelligence agencies are reportedly under order to make Yamantau a top priority. Evil Mountain has intrigued the likes of President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield, UN ambassador nominee John Bolton and representatives Curt Weldon (R-Pa) and the previously mentioned Bartlett.

Somewhat naively, Bush is reported to have asked Russian President Vladimir Putin if Yamantau would be on a par with "our Rock. Naively, because like all KGB types, Putin plays his cards close to the chest.

The Rock is the Joint alternate Communications Center, or "Site R", bored into Raven Rock mountain just across the Maryland border in Pennsylvania, near the town of Waynesboro.

"It is an underground alternate national Command Center constructed during the Cold War at the "secret undisclosed location" where Vice President Cheney is often transported during states of alert." (Wayne Madsen, Online Journal, May 10, 2005).

Like the CIa, CFP can't pinpoint the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden. But if he's holed up at Evil Mountain, he's as safe as the proverbial church.
