Alternative methods of fuel at the Presidio?

By Judi McLeod

Monday, April 2, 2007

Count movie star John Travolta in the visible minority who believe space aliens hold the key to alternative fuels.

That's the Travolta of real life and not one of his claims from the silver screen.

"Travolta, a Scientologist, claimed the solution to global warming could be found in outer space and blamed his hefty flying mileage on the nature of the movie business." (www.thisislondon.co.uk, 30/03/07).

The Presidio "It (global warming) is a very valid issue," Travolta declared. "I'm wondering if we need to think about other planets and dome cities.

"Everyone can do their bit. But I don't know if it's not too late already. We have to think about alternative methods of fuel."

The star, who danced to fame in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, owns five jets and his own private runway.

Five years ago he piloted his own Boeing 707 on a 13-city "Spirit of Friendship Tour" for Qantas, taking in Los Angeles, Auckland, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, London, Paris and New York and amassing over 35,000 flying miles.

According to www.thisislondon.co.uk.com, such is his love of flying, he persuaded his wife, actress Kelly Preston, to name their son Jett when he was born 14 years ago.

Travolta can boast many firsts in his 53 years of life on this planet. But he isn't first in claiming that the answer to global warming may rest with other planets and dome cities.

That honor goes to Paul Hellyer, a former Canadian defense minister and the founding father of the Canadian Action Party.

Last month the Ottawa Citizen reported that Hellyer is demanding that world governments disclose alien technology that could be used to solve the problem of climate change.

"I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels…that could be a way to save our planet."

He also said "We need to persuade governments to come clean on what they know. Some of us suspect they know quite a lot, and it might be enough to save our planet if applied quickly enough."

Do Travolta and Hellyer know something about available stores of alternative technologies that the rest of us don't?

There's an unsolved mystery about energy at San Francisco's earthbound Presidio.

There are no reports of Hellyer or Travolta frequenting the Presidio, but Travolta did star in a movie called Murder at the Presidio.

For the uninitiated, the Presidio was a former posh and coveted military posting in San Francisco for the Sixth U.S. Army, which has immense economic relevance to the American taxpayer. Since the end of World War I, American taxpayers have borne the burden of the multi-billion dollar defense expenditures that include housing for officers and enlisted men and women on military bases around the U.S. and the world.

"According to ethical and competent retired military personnel, who lived on various military bases around the US, that housing did not have utility meters for water, gas and electricity." (www.AmicusVeritas.org.com). "Furthermore when David Fowler and electrical engineers and federal consultants worked on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay, after the Navy had abandoned that base under the Base realignment Act, Fowler discovered the lack of any power and utility boxes on Treasure Island. Fowler, regarding the power sources for the Presidio, raised those same questions then but didn't receive any answers from either the military or San Francisco officials who took over the responsibility for the Island from the U.S. Navy.

"This question is still relevant: Since the new occupants don't power their appliances and heat with Honda portable generators, (a) How are these occupants obtaining their gas, electric and water? (b) If, as creditably suspected, these new occupants do have and use water, gas and electric, Who is paying for these utilities? The San Francisco taxpayer, property owner and tenants?"

"Among the unpublicized facts about Nancy Pelosi was that she was an investor in a real estate investment entity called Presidio Partners, which was set up shortly after the first closure of federal military bases around the U.S. Among the choicest real estate properties were (a) San Francisco's Presidio Fort, then the headquarters for the Sixth U.S. Army (b) Treasure Island and Yreba Buena Island, the U.S. Navy's parcels in San Francisco Bay (c) The Hunter's Point Naval Base, then the biggest U.S. navy base between Seattle, Washington, Long Beach and San Diego, California. (d) The Alameda Naval Air Station in Oakland California--that was closed nearly 20 years later."

Friends of Pelosi claim that Nancy has "the source".

Maybe the answer to alternative technologies won't be found outer space, but at the more earthbound San Francisco Presidio.
