More on Greenism

No sooner had I sent off my article on ‘Greenism’ to Canada Free Press, than I received notification that the leading scientific institution, the Royal Society, has backed down on its strident global warming claims! To put it frankly, that is one in the eye for the silly young geology graduate who decided to back the green horse in the MENSA journal (who prompted my article: ‘Greenism’).

Barack Obama’s Auntie Zeituni is Not the Poster Child for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

If an entomologist were given the following characteristics—diverse in appearance, attaches to a host, easily overlooked, thousands of different species, benefits at the expense of the host, reduces the well-being of the host, exploits the host for food, habitat, and profit—then asked to classify the organism, the term “parasite” would be his/her immediate answer. But unbeknownst to the entomologist, the characteristics given to analyze were the characteristics of Barack Obama’s Auntie Zeituni, parasite, or in non-entomological terms, a welfare queen.

GE’s Really Big, Bad Ideas

Why would General Electric abandon the incandescent light bulb? In 1890 Thomas Edison established General Electric after having achieved fame with it and other inventions. Not only will this iconic invention no longer be manufactured in the United States by next year, but the government has ruled that it cannot even be purchased here.

Let Jews build homes

Conventional wisdom says that “Israel promised (the US) to destroy all ‘unauthorized outposts,’ and, therefore, must fulfill its obligations.” If the government is looking for an excuse, this is a poor one.

Palestine - Serious Negotiations or Spurious Nonsense?

The threat by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to walk away from direct negotiations with Israel following Israel’s refusal to extend its ten month moratorium on some residential building construction in the West Bank - has brought forth an almost universal plea for Israel to reconsider its position.

Vadum: A Reminder, ACORN Funding NOT Permanently Cut Off

Matthew Vadum, ever vigilant on the evils perpetrated by ACORN, reminds us that the criminal community organizer has not had its federal funding cut off permanently. The temporary cut off is soon to expire and Vadum reports that there doesn’t seem to be anyone in Congress taking up a reinstatement of the ban.

The Old Media: More Distrusted Than Ever

The Gallup polling agency has released its annual assessment of how Americans view the Old Media establishment and it isn’t good for the Old Media. Gallup found more people than ever have no trust in the Old Media (57 percent) and those that do trust the media have fallen to an all time low (43 percent). These are the most extreme ratings that Gallup has ever seen.

Will Obama/Holder Stop FBI Probe?

Left-wing activists showed up outside the FBI headquarters on Tuesday afternoon to protest FBI raids on what they and the media are calling “anti-war” and “peace” groups. But the evidence that some U.S. activists are involved with terrorist groups in the Middle East and Latin America is substantial.

Has Mexico Been Taken Over by Space Aliens?

Government officials in Mexico continue to amaze the world with behavior so bizarre that one wonders if these simple, but manipulative, people have been cursed with genetic insanity, or stupidity, or perhaps both.

Greenism

In Canada Free Press I give many examples, in a variety of articles, of the myriad falsities inherent in the green movement. Sometimes, falsity can be accepted as a side-effect of stupidity, but not in this case.  The green movement is the province of intelligent middle classes. So, why is it that these people come out with such nonsense? It’s because their intellect doesn’t match their intelligence, making them accept emotionalism rather than truth. In other words, they are prejudiced against reality.

As Obama Pretends at Its Freedom, His Gov’t Plans Takeover of Internet

imageIn an address to the United Nations on Thursday, Sept. 23, President Obama pledged to preserve a “free and open Internet” and would call out nations that censored content.

In a veiled reference to China and other nations that censor the Internet, Obama said that a civil society fosters open government. “Civil society is the conscience of our communities, and America will always extend our engagement abroad with citizens beyond the halls of government. And we will call out those who suppress ideas and serve as a voice for those who are voiceless.”
