Government Workers Should NEVER Be Allowed a Union

What are the best jobs on average in California? Apparently being a government worker. Infuriatingly, government workers live far better, have higher salaries, retire earlier and have better benefits than most in the private sector even though, like leeches, these same government workers live off the taxpayer.

December 31, 1912

(The posting of this article has become an annual tradition of historical proportion at this blog.)

The next year sweeps around the earth like the hand of a clock, from Australia to Europe and across the great stretch of the Atlantic it rides the darkness to America. And then around and around again, each passing day marking another sweep of the hours.

McCain sets the stage for his 2016 run ...By ridding himself of pesky Arizona conservatives

I’ll say this for John McCain: He’s a shrewd political operative. No, he’s not interested in the Constitution. No, he doesn’t really stand for much of anything. And, no, he doesn’t give a rat’s rear what the GOP base thinks of him. However, he’s been in office since right around the time the Titanic sank, so he obviously has a game plan that works. That’s not necessarily a good thing, but it is reality.

Ocean Acidification- A New Climategate?

A good way to excite people is to tell them that something has become more ‘acid’ as ‘the oceans are undergoing acidification and this is a potential environmental catastrophe.’

Student loans: The $1 trillion federal debacle you haven’t heard about

Nothing like ending the year on a hopeful note, eh? It’s been six years since the federal government spent more than $700 billion on the Troubled Asset Relief Program - not a popular move around here but probably necessary to prevent the impending implosion of the entire financial system. That was an emergency brought on by a lot of forces, including federal policies that encouraged far-too-easy mortgage lending for people who couldn’t repay. But at least you can say that it was designed to see the government recoup most of the money, and in fact that largely happened.

Another Meat Grinder

Well, it’s New Year’s Eve and I’ve got nothing. No Hope. No real Change and no expectation of having any profit for all we’ve been through since Obama was re-elected. Old Man 2014 is set to walk out the door toward the setting of his personal sun and the Infant 2015 is about to soil a new diaper while Obama and a Progressive Republican Party indicate it’s going to be business as usual.

A Veritable Battlefield: The Palestinians’ Legal Warfare Strategy

As Israel tries to contain the damage resulting from recent measures taken against it in the international legal sphere, the Palestinians and their supporters are pursuing a sophisticated strategy that employs legal and diplomatic tools in almost every legal or political institution in the international arena. Indeed, the past two weeks can be described as a blitz. It appears that the Palestinians are scoring political goals, while in most cases causing severe delegitimization of Israel. The gradual erosion of Israel’s defensive envelope and legitimacy among its friends in Europe has accelerated over recent months. Israel should be aware of the orchestrated legal warfare taking place in front of its eyes, prepare properly for an ongoing campaign, initiate preemptive legal and political measures, and present a clear foreign policy that will advance its national interests.

China Cracks Down on Freedom, Christianity

David Marshall explained when he was on the December 13, 2014 episode of Constitution Radio with Douglas V. Gibbs that in China a powerful underground Christian Church exists.  Though some freedoms had emerged for a short while as Communist China toyed with the insertion of limited capitalism into their otherwise government-managed economy, as citizens become more defiant after tasting a small morsel of freedom, the communist leadership is cracking down on any public displays of Christianity, and any emergence of paraphernalia or information that champions liberty.  The Chinese ruling class recognizes that with Christianity comes an increase in a demand for freedom, and the communists in control refuse to tolerate such a passion.

Terrorism and the Missing Southeast Asia Flights

This article is simply the offspring of observation, and speculation regarding those observations.

The AirAsia flight that recently vanished, without a word, was being flown by Captain Iriyanto, a devout and active Muslim (and his co-pilot was a Muslim-French National).  The pilot of the Malaysian flight that vanished without a word was also a devout Muslim, as was his co-pilot.

No longer merely on the way, the Revolution is here

The intent of Obama’s Fundamental Transformation of America and those of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA are one and the same.  Both foment for the kind of revolution that will take down America and toss it into the dust bin of history.

It’s a union made in Hell and, incredibly, the melding of this deadly duo is the quintessential spittle-flecked nutty of which most Americans and their Western allies are not even aware.

Making Predictions

If there is one thing pundits like to do it is to make predictions. If they turn out to be right you can always look back and quote them as proof of your prescience and if they are not, you can always ignore them.

Emotions that Led to Secession

On October 16, 1859, John Brown and 18 men took over the Harpers Ferry Armory, in northern Virginia (now West Virginia).  His intention was to seize the arms and get them to slaves in the South so that they could rise up against their masters, and kill them.  Brown’s effort was cut short when he was captured on October 18.
