Cleric or Clown?

Cardinal Walter Kasper, who has been the key spokesman for the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops, is generally regarded as a renegade bishop who dissents from Church doctrine, but his own words suggest he may not even be a priest.

Syria: Time to Reformulate the Rules of the Game

Once again Syria commands a leading position on the international agenda, due to the flood of refugees moving through Europe – as Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey are no longer able to take in additional Syrian refugees – and due to President Vladimir Putin’s decision to substantially increase military aid to the Assad regime.

The Arctic Sea-Ice is Disapp…—Actually Increasing

Listening to the latest “climate doom” you’d think that the Arctic must just about be squeaky clean, not a drink-sized ice cube in sight anymore.  Well, I’ve some news that must be disconcerting to the warmists: The sea-ice extent is actually quite stable, perhaps even growing and the polar bears are just fine as well.

Israel’s Iranian attack plan leaked to reporter by Hillary Clinton: Watchdog

When White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told a room full of reporters, “I will just say on principle that the success of our democracy depends on the rule of law and there is no public official that is above the rule of law. Certainly not the President of the United States,” there should have been a cry from those attending for Earnest to stop his calculated dishonesty and non-transparency, according to more than one law enforcement official. Those accused of misconduct—even criminal activity—in the Obama administration have relied on stonewalling, deceit and news media disinformation to avoid punishment that lower level government workers are forced to endure, cops claim.

The Mushroom Cloud ISIS Has In Store For Us

The totalitarian mass murderers of Islamic State are hellbent on acquiring nuclear weapons and using them against their enemies in the West, a reporter who was embedded with the Salafi jihadist fighters in occupied Syria is warning.

German journalist Jürgen Todenhöfer, who spent 10 anxious days living in Islamic State-held Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor in Syria with the jihadists, wants the world to know that the terrorist group is deadly serious about unleashing a “nuclear tsunami” on those who oppose its efforts to create an Islamic caliphate.

“This is the largest religious cleansing strategy that has ever been planned in human history,” he said.

Donald Trump: Mane Man in the Values Den

Donald Trump—America’s loveable Boor in a China Shop—was an eagerly anticipated speaker at the 2015 Values Voter Summit, a conference that brings hundreds of evangelical activists to the nation’s capital. Think of Values Voter as the Christian answer to Burning Man, without the gratuitous sex, drug use and an important reversal in which the goal is to avoid burning.

Many were confused by the Trump invitation, since The Donald is not exactly known for showcasing a religious emphasis in his life. But if a Pharisee like John McCain merits repeat invitations to speak, surely a recent convert qualifies.

In a nice touch, for a candidate notorious for lack of preparation, Trump brought the Bible his mother gave him as a child. As Trump waved the keepsake overhead—hoping it would serve as tangible proof of his Christianity—the gesture reminded me of a gopher—faced Mitch McConnell brandishing a musket at the Conservative Political Action Conference, because I had a feeling neither has been used this century.

It’s the world not just America that Obama is Fundamentally Transforming

Like the mother who gives her children a fleeting glance of the ice cream dessert to get them to eat their veggies, last week’s historic papal visit was eye candy to keep the attention of the masses away from the radical changes coming society’s way.

Mesmerized by the televised addresses of Pope Francis to Congress and the United Nations, a majority of plain folk didn’t feel a thing when the noose of Global Citizenship was being lowered over their collective necks.

The mainstream media’s job was double-downed-: saturation coverage of the first visit of the pontiff to America and to spread the message of the UN’s coming global goals to “end poverty, climate change and injustice”.

Syrian Sinkhole Swallowing Obama and Putin’s Credibility and Political Judgment

President Barack Obama’s continuing focus on removing Syria’s President Assad to secure America’s co-operation with Russia to destroy the Islamic State—whilst President Putin has now independently commenced Russian air strikes in Syria - supposedly on Islamic State forces—exposes both leaders lack of credibility and political judgment.

Obama addressing the United Nations General Assembly on 28 September asserted:

“The United States is prepared to work with any nation, including Russia and Iran, to resolve the conflict. But we must recognize that there cannot be, after so much bloodshed, so much carnage, a return to the pre-war status quo…

... Yes, realism dictates that compromise will be required to end the fighting and ultimately stamp out ISIL. But realism also requires a managed transition away from Assad and to a new leader, and an inclusive government that recognizes there must be an end to this chaos so that the Syrian people can begin to rebuild.

Nine simple charts that demonstrate the disaster of Obama’s economic policies

Gauging the economic performance of a president is a tricky thing for a lot of reasons, not least of which is the fact that so many statistics sound like apples-to-apples but really aren’t (like the U3 unemployment rate for example, which doesn’t tell you the change in labor force participation), and the fact that politicians cherry-pick statistics that don’t always mean what they want you to think they mean (like “jobs created”).

President Obama Continues Spinning Fantasies at the United Nations

President Barack Obama continued his feckless foreign policy charade at the United Nations yesterday. He chaired what was billed as “The Leaders’ Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism,” and he met with Cuban President Raul Castro.

At the summit, Obama claimed major progress in rolling back the Islamic State (or ISIL, as he refers to the jihadist caliphate occupying large portions of Syria and Iraq). By now, the president is certainly aware of the reported complaint, backed by 52 defense analysts, to the Pentagon’s inspector general, which alleged that intelligence reports on the war against the Islamic State were doctored in order to support the Obama administration’s claims that the fighting was going well. Some of these doctored reports were reportedly used to brief the president and other high government officials, telling them what they wanted to hear. The defense analysts, who are career professionals, have painted a far more pessimistic picture of the fight so far than the Obama administration wants the public to believe. Nevertheless, while Obama acknowledged at the summit that the Islamic State fighters are “resilient” and that there will be some setbacks along with successes, he continued the false narrative that the Islamic State is in retreat. The fact is that Russian President Vladimir Putin is taking advantage of Obama’s lack of leadership in the fight against ISIL.  Putin is taking the lead himself, providing direct military support to the Syrian regime and building his own coalition including Iraq and Iran.

Massachusetts woman charged with almost $4 million in food stamp fraud

Progressives will tell you that food stamp fraud is basically a problem that doesn’t exist. At best they’ll admit that, perhaps, there are a few instances where a store sells something to a customer that shouldn’t be covered by the SNAP program - but they’ll claim those minor transgressions are extremely isolated cases.  They’ll regale you with tales of the hard-working poor who hold down two jobs and receive welfare just to make ends meet.

A Parade of Horribles, with Obama in the Middle

This article by Anne Bayefsky originally appeared on National Review.

The parade of dictators and despots taking the U.N. stage on Monday, as the organization marks its 70th anniversary, was nothing short of spectacular. As were the lies they told without batting an eye to a friendly and respectful audience. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has his hand out for an additional $20 billion this year, so let’s look at what American taxpayers are getting for their large chunk (one-quarter) of the U.N’s bills.

Britain Under Pressure To Scrap Green Taxes As Steel Plant Closure Sparks Outburst

The Government is coming under increasing pressure to scrap green charges that contributed to the closure of the Redcar plant. The Teesside site, which has produced steel for 160 years, will be mothballed with the loss of 1,700 jobs, its Thai owners SSI UK announced yesterday. Another 4,000 jobs are expected to be lost among contractors on the site and in the supply chain.

Ahmed Mohamed’s Qatari Vacation with the Muslim Brotherhood

The story of Ahmed Mohamed, the Dallas schoolboy made famous by the reaction to his arrest for bringing a homemade clock that resembled a suitcase bomb to school, has taken another curious turn. According to the Dallas Morning News, Ahmed and his family have accepted an invitation extended by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development to visit Qatar. Their sister institution, the Qatar Foundation International (QFI) was founded by Sheikh bin Al Thani, who also created Al Jazeera. QFI has links to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB

Obama’s Political Correctness Okays Child Rape?

Is this really the United States we were meant to be? I find the path in which we are headed becomes more perverse every day I read the news.  The latest? A Green Beret is dismissed from the Army because he confronted a child rapist in Afghanistan! Since when does the United States accept the rape of children during war-time an acceptable activity? What if the activity is happening on military bases?

The New York Times published a piece detailing how United States soldiers have been instructed to ignore the sexual rape and abuse of Afghan boys because “it’s their culture.” Soldiers have been told they will be punished and/or discharged for stopping a sexual assault on a child while in Afghanistan.  Charles Martland, a decorated Green Beret was kicked out of Special Forces because he came to the defense of a child and his mother after the boy was raped and the mother beat up for reporting the crime.
