ARs are extremely light and have virtually no recoil, making them ideal for physically weaker people such as women and children

Gunmaker’s New “AR-15 for Kids” Has Left Shooting Intellectual Blanks

A good response to the self-righteous exclamation “You let your son play with toy guns!?” might once have been, “Well, yeah, he’s too young to have a real one!” But perhaps not anymore, not with a new addition to the firearms market: a smaller, lighter AR-15 designed just for kids.  Dubbed the JR-15, the AFP relates that it’s “marketed by maker WEE1 Tactical as ‘the first in a line of shooting platforms that will safely help adults introduce children to the shooting sports.’” Clearly aghast, the news organ further reports that the “company’s website says the rifle ‘also looks, feels, and operates just like Mom and Dad's gun.’”

The AR15 is vilified because it looks like the military M16. The resemblance may be intentional as a merchandising gimmick but the AR15 is not a combat weapon. As such the ignorant politicians use the resemblance to vilify a rifle as a combat weapon because it is a means of CONTROL. And the hell with the Second Amendment which is part of the Constitution which they swore to uphold.

We teach our children to drive off road before legal driving age or I did and I also let my son use the guns once I felt he understood and would use the rules, he was a much better shot than me or my husband, My daughter had no interest in guns her own decision, she liked riding and working with our horses which is dangerous and was very good at that, children are all different and if you or your husband can teach them anything they should be taught like swimming they should all know how we had a deep creek and large ponds and I felt safer when they accomplished swimming. I did not know how to play a musical instrument and my son wanted to learn this and we took him out for lessons. Parents whose job it is to give or get our children life lessons and good educations the best we can. I think a woman and kids would love a lighter version IMO.

In Canada there were gun clubs/ranges in HIGH SCHOOLS well into the 80s. The reality is that PROGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY has seen the importation of subhuman cultures into once great Western (White) countries ever since the 60s when early WhiteGuilt reared it's destructive head.
Western Civilization degrading in the name of "progress" and DIVERSITY is the main reason. # GUN CRIME & MOSLEM TERROR is being enabled to take guns away from "old stock" Canadians. The ones that built and fought for this country with guns. It's the ProgressiveRetard way to destroy your own civilization, a great "re-set" one could say.. as the West slips away..
WW2 Vets are rolling in their graves.

As Alex mentioned, AR is just a scape goat 'cause of it looks and general modification design. I've seen ARs that look like your grandpa hunting rifles and ones that look like military weapons. And at the same moment - the way those work doesn't change, only looks and a bit of "tactical" advantage. At the same time I'm a bit surprised media is so much after semi-autos, meanwhile noone is crazy about banning levers, even though with proper training those can shoot really fast!(I've seen people emptying their Marlins and Winchesters at the range from local gun store https://gritrsports.com/ pretty much at the same speed as some semi-autos).
