2016 America’s Gift To Hillary - The Oval Office! Part 2

I am an American writer, and I am proud of my association with Canada Free Press. It is the Canadian paper that behaves in a more traditionally American spirit than do many publications based in the United States. I think if Benjamin Franklin were alive today, and looking to resurrect his Pennsylvania Gazette, he would soon be in league with CFP whose motto/battle cry is, "Because without America, there is no free world." The piece I did last Friday was about the 'marriage' of 90-year-old, former United States Senator Harris Wofford to his 40-years-young boyfriend in Washington DC. It was entirely politically incorrect, but Canada Free Press did not flinch. The story ran. My article, critical of what really appeared to be Wofford's last hurrah as an iconic civil-rights-pioneer-turned-gay-advocate was CFP's cover story.
Some friends and I watched the news feeds all weekend. It was the only article of its kind that made it to a global, pedestrian audience. All the other big publications were either in lockstep with the mostly intimidated PC world - lauding and applauding the wedding of the two grooms as fervently as the crowd that roundly approved of the Emperor's new clothes. Everybody else was silent. Wofford had stressed the intimacy of their decision and union: “I think this is an example of the most private matter …. "When people want to talk about their sexuality, either go to confession or be happy about it." But he took his private, hand-written story out of the confessional, and straight to the New York Times with a follow-up interview with the Washington Post. Just how private is that? The life-long, professional leader and example to millions put his homosexuality in the face of everybody, including tottering and cognitively formative people of all ages who are grasping directionless and unsure of anything in this ever-shifting world. And effectively and obviously without much concern about collateral damage, he dared anyone to take exception with him. Canada Free Press stepped up. My article was severely criticized by the newly automated, gay sympathizers, people who parrot the canned rebuttals of a nascent, New Age morality, and don't appreciate those who are unyielding in holding to their own opinions. Free people who haven't decided to shelve their godly consciences are now dismissed as 'homophobes' and 'haters.' And people who are willing to stand before that fire, and voice unpopular opposition are indeed hated. But the watching, loving God of the Bible says there is a reward waiting for them. I believe that. And despite all the LGBT-agendaed historians who disagree today, so did the people who prayerfully founded our nation.

Okay, slightly shifting topic, here ... A story of mine that Canada Free Press published yesterday has also taken some heat. But this time from fellow conservatives, and certainly not anyone walking in opposition to much anything that CFP and I stand for. Nevertheless, an obvious misunderstanding occurred. And for that, I was inundated with criticism from good folks who are, I think, justifiably indignant at the notion/possibility of a warning that I had written actually coming to pass. Namely, that - forgive me - Hillary Clinton could be our next president. While I retract NOTHING that I had said in yesterday's article , I do feel that - given the tenor of a lot of the feedback received - a clarification is a good idea here. First, let me state without equivocation, that I AM NOT A HILLARY SUPPORTER. I think she should be behind bars. In a nutshell, I had pointed out that there is a HUGE aggregate of people out there - VOTING PEOPLE - who have been effectively hypnotized and thoroughly conditioned by liberal media to see so much of what conservative Americans value, practice, work for and teach to their children, as antique and useless JUNK. I DO NOT SHARE THAT OPINION. Nevertheless, the last two presidential elections were GIVEN AWAY to liberal America because conservatives under all banners (GOP, Independent, Tea Party, Libertarian, etc.) have done nothing to enlist the support of those people - let alone recognize or communicate with them effectively. We're supposed to be marketers, and we haven't touched that market. It was (Canadian) communication genius Marshall McLuhan who pointed out (words to this effect), "If what I say - however thoughtfully or articulately - is not understood, I have said nothing." And the same liberal America that gave us two terms of a president who successfully installed much of the groundwork for wrecking capitalist America and introducing Marxist socialism doesn't give a second thought to conservative America that speaks only to itself - and in terms that the left can't understand even when they overhear that closed conversation. I fully realize that conservative America has had a belly full of Obama. I thoroughly understand how the thought of Hillary at the helm could put holes in our stomachs. I am right there with you! I am, further, completely convinced of the fact that we have seen and eliminated some big talent to get to the man who currently holds first place as the conservative presidential candidate. And beyond that, I totally yield to the fact that many, MANY people seem to be supportive of that man. And if he and whomever (short of Satan the devil) are the front runners needing my vote at election time, you can bet I will - vehemently - support them and give them my vote! Regardless of all that, as I stated previously, my standing WARNING in the simplest terms is as follows: Last election, just slightly over half of eligible voting Americans participated. And of them, a bunch more liberals than conservatives made it to the polls. So, I'm sorry, but I am not real impressed with even the angriest conservatives who tell me that Hillary Clinton is going down. I mean, I share your elation at Rush Limbaugh's recently declaring, "Trump Is Gonna Beat Hillary Badly, Could Be Landslide." But I'm sure even Rush would agree that such statements don't make it so. IF WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK, IT'S GOING TO TAKE MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS' EXCITED EFFORT TO ACHIEVE THAT. THIS IS NOW ENTIRELY DOWN TO VOTING. And, I'm sorry to say, MANY WON'T. Last election, just as in 2008, liberal America had its way with us because they (albeit, living and dead, and employing all sorts of trickery) got enough bodies to the polls to get the job done. And (see further details mentioned in my last article) conservatives have no laurels upon which to rest that will guarantee our victory this time around.

I love America. To me she is a great battleship that was built to take crew and cargo safely through the roughest times. And I am now heartbroken to watch a treacherous mob of the worst sort of mutineers (including our current captain and first officers) tear our ship to pieces. And people hating and damning America, or standing on her flag because we occasionally have walked in error, or some of our citizenry had been guilty of great sins, makes as much sense as beating a faithful old grandmother to death because some of her children went astray. Call my last article a challenge, if you like. I hope I have ruffled enough feathers (of the people I love and rely upon) to perhaps goad them to be sure and vote and to encourage others to participate as well. Heck, drive people to the polls, by all means! Simply because we conservatives can't bear the thought of four more years of something that looks even much worse than what we have endured for the past eight, doesn't mean that we can rest for a moment between now and election day. I sure will join you here in rejoicing that there seems to be some hope in sight. I just pray that it is not too little too late.
