Subject: Stand with Barbara Boxer
As your senator, Barbara Boxer spends each and every day championing the interests of Californians.
I saw that firsthand working alongside her in the Senate—and since I took office 20 months ago, she’s been one of this movement’s strongest allies, working to put our country back on track.
With Barbara’s help, we’ve saved or created millions of jobs all across this country—more than a hundred thousand in California alone.
As the first woman to chair the Senate’s environmental committee, Senator Boxer has led in the fight to protect our environment, playing an instrumental role in our efforts to create green jobs and reduce carbon emissions.
She wrote the after-school law that’s keeping a million kids off the street and out of gangs, and she has worked hard to provide our veterans with the health and education benefits they deserve. Barbara’s also a steadfast defender of a woman’s right to choose.
But her work—and ours—is not yet complete. That’s why I need your help to make sure Californians send Barbara back to the Senate for another term, so we can keep fighting, together, for change.
Will you sign up to stand with Barbara and support her campaign?
Californians have a clear choice in this election. While Barbara has consistently fought for you, her right-wing opponent, Carly Fiorina, made millions while laying off 30,000 workers and shipping thousands of jobs overseas.
Keeping Senator Boxer in Washington will not be easy. Carly Fiorina can drop millions more into this race at a moment’s notice, buying hundreds of ads and doing everything she can to drown out Barbara’s supporters.
None of us can take this race for granted. That’s why she needs all of our support.
Returning Barbara Boxer to the Senate is going to take the same effort I needed from you in 2008—and it starts with reaching out to friends and neighbors, making phone calls, and knocking on doors.
