This week the stars are perfectly aligned for Hugh Betcha and his boss, William Kevin Stoos, for this week two of the biggest voices in the media—and two of Hugh’s favorites—are going to appear in a live interview over KSCJ Radio 1360 in Sioux City, Iowa. Our readers know Judi McLeod of course—the brave and inspiring lady who runs the show at Canada Free Press and who—as Hugh has often said—is a more patriotic American than most of Hugh’s countrymen.
But Hugh, on assignment this week, has just learned that his favorite CFP publisher and his favorite radio commentator, Sam Clovis, are about to engage in a dialogue this week during Sam’s “Impact with Sam Clovis” on radio KSCJ. This is one interview you will not want to miss. Judi, the best in her field, is about to introduce herself and you to the best in his field—Dr./COL. Sam Clovis. It will be an interview worth listening to—if you will pardon the dangling preposition.
Sam is not only Hugh’s and Kevin’s favorite commentator and political idol, but he is an exceptional American and human being, with a depth of experience in politics, the military and the economy that is unmatched. When it comes to political commentary, all I can say is: “Move over, Rush Limbaugh.” Sam is the ultimate in political commentary, every bit as articulate and in tune with the American political and economic landscape as Rush—but with a substantially smaller ego.
Sam Clovis wears many hats and his depth of experience in a broad range of affairs is second to none. He is currently the Chair of the Department of Business Administration and Economics at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, after serving with the Homeland Security Institute where he remains a Fellow, doing research in national security and preparedness. Sam also serves on the faculty of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. While others may expound on military matters, Sam is an expert on the same and has, as they say—“been there.” No Chicken Hawk he, (as many national commentators, who pretend to be military experts but have never served one day), Sam is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy—a 25-year veteran of the Air Force before retiring—and has regional expertise in Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East. Formerly the Inspector General of NORAD and the United States Space Command, Sam flew the F-106, F-4 and the F-16. He retired from the service in 1996 and moved to Sioux City in 2005. We in Siouxland are so fortunate to have him.
Active in academia as well as the political scene, Sam not only teaches college courses, but on the side lectures extensively on the Constitution and Civics—areas of the law and government sorely neglected by American secondary schools and colleges. He is a true patriot in every sense and has devoted his life and his career to national defense, education, and instilling pride in America that is sadly lacking in today’s society.
Sam fills a room, and the airwaves, with his presence and his gravelly voice inherently commands respect and attention. But the difference between Sam and others in his field is simple—he knows whereof he speaks. Sam Clovis is a force of nature and his radio show the most informative and educational of all the programs you can listen to in the field of economics, politics, national security or civics. His audience is growing weekly and Hugh and Kevin cannot wait until that inevitable day when Sam Clovis strides atop a much larger soapbox. So move over, Rush…make room at the top.
Listen on KSCJ Radio 1360 Sioux City, Iowa Thursday January 3, 2013 between 10:20 and 11:00 a.m. Central Time.
