The picture of Obama with a gun going viral on the Net is proof positive that you can be anything or anyone you want on the Internet and reap excellent ‘churnalism’ to boot.
Obama had lipped off sans teleprompter during an interview with New Republic, answering the question if he had ever fired a gun by magazine editor Franklin Foer that he skeet shoots “all the time” at Camp David.
No media outlet has pointed out that since Obama has only rarely gone to Camp David during the infernal four years he’s been president it would be impossible for him to have been skeet shooting there “all the time”.
Given the unpopularity of the administration’s coming gun grab, most folk recognize the Obama with a gun picture as a cheap effort for the admin to convince gun owners that Obama is “one of them” and that he’s above all, “a Second Amendment Supporter”.
This is how the White House captioned the picture:
“President Barack Obama shoots clay targets on the range at Camp David, Maryland, Saturday, August 4, 2012.”
Obama was purportedly shooting ‘em up on his 51st birthday. Most folk celebrated their 51st by blowing out the candles on a cake.
Here’s hoping the “churnalists” out there produce among their thousands of posts this called for warning: Beware Skeeters there’s a poseur among you”.
In trying to cement the big lie, the White House sent out a warning not to tinker with(photoshop) their impossible-to-perfect posed picture.
“This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph. The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House.”
No one needs to tinker with the brazen picture when the gun experts, who can spot a “stinking polecat phony” from miles away, are weighing in.
“Of course he was only “posing” for the picture”, one gun expert posited in a weekend email. “Good thing we saved the photo before the knucklehead scam artists pull it.”
Gun experts find “A LOT” of contradictions in the White House picture, not the least of it being that the shotgun is shouldered too high. “That would destroy a shoulder and if that was the exact moment of recoil like they want us to believe, his whole frame would be showing the affects of the recoil.
“Then there is the gun smoke, definitely not what one would expect from modern smokeless powder.
“Last but certainly not least, is something funky about the way his trigger hand is being held. It looks wrong to be positioned like that unless he is “posing” for the picture.”
The White House may have shot itself in its foot by releasing Obama the skeet shooter before coming up with better unprovable lies. Up to now the picture that portrays the Obama style best has been the girlish Obama on a girls bicycle, long since gone viral.
Barry’s as good a skeet shooter as he is an accomplished golfer, both of them being as valid as Obama the Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Meanwhile, the only target practice Obama excels at is of the kind where he uses his executive fiat powers to shoot American fish in a barrel.
