How can Pope Francis lend himself in any activity with the man who will make the Free West the end of an era?

Our Creator already wrote the encyclical that counts

Hard to tell which was really worse, the caricature of Pope Francis as the world’s newest superhero in the ‘Pope Francis: The Encyclical’ mock video, or the picture of him on Drudge with the wind having blown the pellegrina of his robe over his head. Some would say the picture on Drudge, which would have been seen by far more people than the video.
Either way the pontiff came off as looking stupid in his role as the world’s latest global warming/climate change activist. The Pope’s defenders are now saying that he’s not really an environmental activist. If not, he sure looks like one and perception is everything. Pope Francis can hardly be blamed for the wind that came along to hide his face in his own pellegrina. Unless the wind, too, can be blamed on man-made global warming, the wind, after all, is only the wind. But the Vatican remains silent about the portrayal of Pope Francis as world superhero in a video portraying him as man-made global warming’s best hope against those evil fossil fuels, the same video which irreverently shows Christ egging him on. Supplanting the Gospel with politics is a road that leads to criticism and ridicule. Though likely inadvertent, it is also one that opens up the floodgates for Catholic bashing on social media.

It’s the day of the official release of the pontiff’s controversial encyclical, and not only is the world still here, most significantly so is its Creator. Already some Catholic priests and bloggers are posting that the good things the pope addressed in the encyclical should not be overlooked. But it is not the good things but the bad things that is demoralizing true believers. In his encyclical, Pope Francis calls for a bold cultural revolution to correct what he calls the "structurally perverse" economic system of the rich exploiting the poor that is turning Earth into an "immense pile of filth." (Yahoo News) Nowhere in the encyclical does he admit that the politicians with whom he threw in his lot are some of the very perps turning the Earth into an “immense pile of filth”, with legislation allowing the slaughter of millions of babies in the womb, or welcoming the advance of same sex marriage; or that so many of the “rich exploiting the poor” are holding public office. Truth is, it is not just the poor, but many in the middle class and even some of the rich who are turning away in abject despair from the politics of the day that is allowing all this to happen. As the leader of 1.2 billion Catholics, shouldn’t Pope Francis be far more concerned about how Christianity is under violent persecution, not just on faraway territory but here in the West? Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com: puts it most aptly:
“Pope Francis' message on global warming was a confusing distraction that dilutes his great moral authority and leadership at a time when it is desperately needed to combat real - and present - crises in the Church and in Western culture. “The encyclical, Laudato Si, On The Care Of Our Common Home lends the weight of the Papacy's authority to the idea of man-made global warming at a time when not only is there more and more evidence that has come forth that global warming is a natural phenomenon, but that there is increasing concern that government "solutions" are keeping people in poverty. “To me this encyclical is most troubling because it comes at a time when Catholics, indeed Christians of all denominations, are facing persecution including torture and death (including crucifixions) in virtually every Muslim majority country and China, as well as a host of moral and spiritual challenges. “While the Pope fiddles with one controversial political issue that is not at the core of spiritual matters, our spiritual culture is burning. “Not the least of these challenges is the increasing secular pressure for the Church to abandon its scriptural teachings on sexual morality, including homosexuality and marriage in favor of acceptance of same-sex "marriage" and other practices directly contradicted by Church doctrine and scripture. “Yet in advance of the vote to legalize same-sex "marriage" in majority Catholic Ireland, the Pope was silent and never put the weight of his authority behind the Church's scriptural teaching that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. "While the Pope fiddles with one controversial political issue that is not at the core of spiritual matters, our spiritual culture is burning. "Not the least of these challenges is the increasing secular pressure for the Church to abandon its scriptural teachings on sexual morality, including homosexuality and marriage in favor of acceptance of same-sex "marriage" and other practices directly contradicted by Church doctrine and scripture. "Yet in advance of the vote to legalize same-sex "marriage" in majority Catholic Ireland, the Pope was silent and never put the weight of his authority behind the Church's scriptural teaching that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. "Likewise, the Church and Western Christian culture face a host of secular challenges to the culture of life that is central to Church doctrine and Christian teaching, but the Pope has yet to lend the weight of an encyclical to this daily battle."”
Though Viguerie would have been more fair had he added the words “and protestant pastors too” to his charge that “in recent decades most Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, Sisters have abandoned the teaching of morals, he was right on when he provocatively asked:
“When was the last time you heard a sermon on the need to follow God's teachings on divorce, adultery, sex outside of marriage, pornography, illegal drugs, treatment of spouses, children, parents, etc., etc.?”
By throwing in with Barack Obama and the hypocritical, money-grubbing United Nations on the scam called man-made global warming, Pope Francis seems to be ignoring the real harm both parties are doing to individual human rights. To this Catholic’s way of thinking, it’s not just that Pope Francis is throwing in with the lib-left and the United Nations on man-made global warming that rankles. It’s knowing that he would talk the same talk and walk the same walk as the man who is unabashedly destroying a country he was elected to serve. Is Rome too far away to see the pain that many in the West see in having to stand hopelessly by watching the world’s once vastly admired leader sinking under the waves? How can Pope Francis lend himself in any activity with the man who will make the Free West the end of an era? Meanwhile, for those Catholics left in despair by the encyclical, asking “What do we do now?” including the two about whom I care the most: Keep the faith. Keep the faith by going over the head of Pope Francis, and by going directly to Jesus in fervent prayer.
