Suddenly, ABC News remembers that terrorists have already entered the U.S. as refugees

If Obama is to be believed, you're a coward to suggest that maybe, just maybe, it’s a bad idea to let a few hundred thousand Syrian refugees into the country. Sure, a terrorist posing as a refugee was probably involved in the Paris attacks, and yes, ISIS has vowed to infiltrate Europe via refugee importation, but if you think they're going to come here, you're "afraid of widows and orphans." Well, it looks like ABC News might be afraid of widows and orphans, because they just remembered that terrorists and enemy combatants have already entered the US as refugees.
Shocker.
Several dozen suspected terrorist bombmakers, including some believed to have targeted American troops, may have mistakenly been allowed to move to the United States as war refugees, according to FBI agents investigating the remnants of roadside bombs recovered from Iraq and Afghanistan. The discovery in 2009 of two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky -- who later admitted in court that they'd attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq -- prompted the bureau to assign hundreds of specialists to an around-the-clock effort aimed at checking its archive of 100,000 improvised explosive devices collected in the war zones, known as IEDs, for other suspected terrorists' fingerprints. "We are currently supporting dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations like that," FBI Agent Gregory Carl, director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), said in an ABC News interview to be broadcast tonight on ABC News' "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline".
This, as does every piece of news, has created another left-wing chorus of "blame Bush." The Bush-obsessed argue that these were Bush-era policies, resulting from the Iraq war, and the feds should have done a better job. ...And for the most part they're right. If bomb makers were sneaking in to the country thanks to the policies and shortcomings present during the waning years of the Bush administration, that particular buck should stop there.

Of course, this isn't the first time that a cadre of undesirables came to the states via our refugee outreach. Remember Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev? They were the incorrigible little moppets who bombed the Boston Marathon. Let's ask the Washington Post how their family made it to these shores....
Anzor Tsarnaev and his wife arrived in the United States in early 2002 after gaining refugee status. Their two sons and two daughters followed a short time later with an aunt.
Anzor still maintains that his sons were innocent, while his wife claims that the United States will burn in the 'flames of an eternal and terrifying fire' for sentencing her angelic baby boy to death. So, given all of the above, how can progressives claim that refugee acceptance should not only continue, but be expanded? Well, ABC News has the answer. Everything's been completely fixed, thanks to the glories of the Obama administration.
Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Peter Boogaard said in a statement that the U.S. government "continually improves and expands its procedures for vetting immigrants, refugees and visa applicants, and today [the] vetting process considers a far broader range of information than it did in past years."
Isn't that great? There's no need to worry, because the same bureaucrats that are giving Iran the bomb have a strong, firm, hand on vetting refugees. We're sure the process is airtight now, but we can't help but wonder. Wasn't there a saying about forgetting history and being doomed to repeat it?
