I find Mr. Trump’s call to pause Muslim immigration highly sensible

Donald J. Trump, Come to St. Petersburg!

St. Petersburg mayor Rick Kriseman (Dem.) has banned Donald Trump from entering “his” city. Well it’s not Kriseman’s city, and I would welcome Mr. Trump to speak in St. Petersburg any time, any place. Kriseman is upset over Trump’s call to pause Muslim immigration into our country until the vetting process is better understood and perhaps improved. I find Kriseman’s opposition to Trump’s stance puzzling, as he counts on the support of the city’s gay population, and Islam’s, especially radical Islam’s, position vis-a-vis gays can only be called homophobic in the extreme.

Be that as it may, I find Mr. Trump’s call to pause Muslim immigration highly sensible. Not only do we currently have a vetting process that is all too porous (as recently proven by events in California), but there are problems that even the best vetting process will not uncover. These include, but are not limited to, stealth jihad, taqiyya, and post-immigrationradicalization – that is, those who are not radical Muslims when they enter our country, but subsequently become radicalized through social media, the influence of radical teachers/teachings, and other means. Is it really asking too much to pause Muslim immigration while these potentially deadly loopholes are looked at and fixed as best we can? I for one do not appreciate Mayor Kriseman playing fast and loose with my safety and the safety of the citizens of St. Petersburg. Mr. Trump, please come to St. Petersburg – we need to hear your timely and important message. TIA.
