“A penny saved is a penny earned.” And it’s mine, taxman, you can’t have it.

A penny here, a penny there.

California Governor Jerry Brown is attempting to pull yet another heist on the Golden State’s citizens by attempting to add a ½ sales tax increase and a surcharge of so-called wealthy income earners in the State. Both referenda are slated to be on the November ballot. This Chief-of State believes to his core the only way to save California from yet another fiscal calamity is to tax, tax, and tax. Brown promises dire cuts to education, corrections, and fire safety if he doesn’t get his taxes passed. The current deficit is $9.2 billion and growing. There is no pivot in Governor Brown’s gait.
I started to research like-minded ideologues like this relic across tour Land. Most certainly there is no dearth of like-thinking tax and spend-aholics. I happened upon Maryland’s Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley. O’Malley is a not-so-interesting ideologue who earned his stripes as the Mayor of crime-ridden Baltimore and worked his way up the Socialist / Democratic ladder to the Governors mansion, in Annapolis. Maryland, too, also faces huge deficits due to its irresponsible spending. The Governor of the laughably nicknamed Free State is attempting to raise the sales tax from 6% to 7%... O’Malley was quoted as saying, “No one ever lost a house or job because the sales tax was raised by a penny.” What an outrageous comment spoken by this smug 49-year-old adolescent-Governor. Therein lies the problem so succinctly put by this liberal. O’Malley, along with Brown, Christine Gregoire of Washington, and a whole host of Democratic barking seals similar to the species that applauded president Obama’s State of the Union Address are so out of reality with mainstream America. Question: ”Who votes for them?" Answer: Leaches, moochers, and entitlement-seekers form their voting base.

It is hard for me to fathom how someone like O’Malley can be taken seriously. He is a Catholic, yet he supports abortion and same-sex marriage. As a feel-good Democrat, O’Malley moistens his index finger, and then holds it up to a Chesapeake breeze before he speaks. Politicians like O’Malley, in this humble writer’s opinion, are the poster children for what is so very wrong with what has become America 2012. I perceive the Constitution to be my ground-zero compass. O’Malley views it as old piece of colonial parchment. Men like O’Malley think they know what’s best for you. This is typical of the Democratic inculcate opportunist. Legislators like O’Malley, Wasserman-Schultz, Pelosi, and the Self-Server in-Chief himself, Barack Hussein Obama fight like alley cats on behalf of the leaches, moochers, and criminals in our country, and they do so on your tax payer dollars. It’s wrong; it’s immoral; it’s unpatriotic. The question begs to be asked. How long you are you going to put up with these political opportunists who have hijacked the Party of the People? Maybe the commentary shouldn’t read “A penny here, a penny there” but the more appropriate title associated with Benjamin Franklin’s famous quote, “A penny saved is a penny earned.” And it’s mine, taxman, you can’t have it. Take back America 2012.
