Andrea Mitchell: Hillary's trustworthiness problem allowing Bernie to do real damage to her candidacy

If you'd spent the last year listening to only left-wing journalists, you'd have a pretty rosy picture of Hillary Clinton. Sure, there's some concern about her status as a throwback candidate, and there's an occasional acknowledgment of her scandals, but the criticism is fleeting. She is the rightful heir to the presidency, and any concerns are trivialities - most of them are cooked up by Republicans, and they're easily addressed. Under the surface, however, lurked Hillary's "trust" numbers. Depending on which sycophant was talking, the idea that Hillary was untrustworthy was either A: Nonexistent, B: Overblown, or C: A tiny hurdle that would be easily overcome.
My, how times have changed... To conservatives, this is 100% unsurprising. We've been arguing - for months - that decades of lies, scandals, and potential felonies have taken their political toll on Mrs. Clinton. "A quick look at the utter lack of enthusiasm for her candidacy, even among her supporters, confirms this. Hillary is not Bill. She's a charisma-free candidate who can't gloss over her shortcomings with charm. She's also not Bernie. She doesn't lead a movement of young people who, for whatever reason, have convinced themselves that they've been victimized by greed. She has no achievements upon which to campaign and no cohesive message. With that in mind, of course Bernie is doing real, substantive, damage to her candidacy. "Bruised nominee" is probably a grave understatement. The only surprising thing is that it took the fine folks at NBC News so long to figure that out.
