Are You Better Off Now?

Are things better now after three years of Obama? This is the question of the hour that must be asked repeatedly until it becomes the mantra of all who love America. If you owned a business and hired someone to manage it for you, there would be an expectation of a profit at the end of each year. What if your business ended in the red at the end of the first year? What if that manager borrowed money to stay afloat and ended up in the red again the next year? What if more debt was accumulated and the third year also ended in the red? And what if your manager kept blaming the previous manager for all the current problems after three years? And what if your manager proposed a solution for your business, to straighten out all the problems, by spending more and going more into debt? Would you think he was insane? You would be the one suffering from insanity for not firing the manager after the first year of losing your money. Why would anyone allow a manager to continue with a growing record of consistent failure and loss?

If you do not see the parallel yet, let me spell it out. I am talking about manager Obama. According to Fact Check of the Annenberg Policy Center, manager Bush didn’t do so well himself. In his eight years, the federal deficit grew by 4.9 trillion dollars, which was outrageous and almost 4 times as much when compared individually with Reagan, GHW Bush or Clinton. Make no mistake about it; government grew massively under manager Bush. HOWEVER, look at how we have fared after 3 years and 3 months under manager Obama. In less than half the time it took manager Bush to expand the deficit by 4.9 trillion dollars, manager Obama has managed to add another 4.7 trillion in just over three years, bringing the total deficit to over 15 trillion dollars now and will grow beyond 16 trillion by the end of the year. Keep in mind, Obama has done this in less than four years. Marx and Lenin would be proud. So are we better off now? The average price for a gallon of gas in January 2009, when Obama took over, was $1.79 a gallon. Ground beef is up, bacon is up, bread is up, and everything is up except the bottom line in your checking account. According to Word Hippo, the opposite of “to manage” is “to fail”. To manage is to succeed and to not manage is to fail. This is the year to change managers, fire the one who is failing, along with everyone in Congress who is supporting the current financial insanity. Are we better off now? He gave us Obamacare (‘nuff said); blocked the keystone pipeline killing 20,000 immediate jobs and 100,000 jobs in five years, ensuring high gas prices and stopped coastal oil drilling plan. Also, under Obama, the number of food stamp recipients rose from 31.6 million people in 2008 to 46.4 million in 2012, an increase of 14.8 million people, according to the fns.usda.gov.
