OK, everyone. It’s time for some “news” you’ll need to take with a grain of salt. According to RadarOnline, a hacker has Hillary’s entire email archive - all 32,000 unreleased messages - and he or she is looking to sell. The price tag is supposedly hovering around half a million dollars.
As Radar reports:
Just as email-gate looked to be winding down, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned a person claiming to be a computer specialist has come forward with the stunning news that 32,000 emails from Hillary Clinton‘s private email account are up for sale. The price tag — a whopping $500,000!
Promising to give the trove of the former Secretary of State’s emails to the highest bidder, the specialist is showing subject lines as proof of what appear to be legitimate messages.
Those subject lines seem to indicate that there’s some pretty juicy material lurking in the emails, including discussions on Benghazi, Libya, and the 2013 hostage situation at an Algerian gas plant.

Now, for the caveat. Normally, we wouldn’t pass along anything RadarOnline was running. It’s standard day-to-day routine is primarily made up of celebrity news focusing on the Kardashians, the Real Housewives, and the ongoing adventures of OJ Simpson. They have a solid track record when it comes to being right about the things they publish, but political reporting about presidential candidates is not their forte. This story is currently the top link at Drudge, and it’s getting a lot of play on viral sites, but it’s important to consider the source.
...And there’s another problem. The following claim seems incredibly hard to believe:
“Hillary or someone from her camp erased the outbox containing her emails, but forgot to erase the emails that were in her sent box,” an insider reveals to Radar of the Presidential contender’s latest nightmare.
A: That’s not really how an outbox works. B: Even for this administration, where ineptitude and failure are running rampant, that seems like a huge miss. We’re supposed to believe that Hillary maintained a secret email account, deleted everything from it, had the servers wiped, but didn’t remember to clear her “sent” messages? That is, to say the least, tough to swallow.
However, if (and that’s a big if) Radar’s source is legit, the hacker could have grabbed the archive before the complete wipe and it’s just possible that things happened as he claims. It’s a stretch, but given Hillary’s long history of screw-ups, we suppose it’s not inconceivable.
Warns the insider, “If these emails get out to the public domain, not only is Hillary finished as a potential Presidential nominee, she could put our country’s national security at risk.”
We’ll have to wait and see if this goes anywhere. We’d love to believe this is all true, but it has the needle on our “BS detector” jumping.
That said, RadarOnline may be just a notch above the National Enquirer, but the Enquirer brought down John Edwards. So you never know…
