It’s Sunday, April 10, and just as they boasted they would, the Boston Globe has published a complete hoax special Donald Trump edition as NEWS . “The editorial board of The Boston Globe is using a satirical front page to express its uneasiness with a potential Donald Trump presidency. (Fox News, April 10, 2016)
“The newspaper has printed a satirical front page for its Sunday "Ideas" section. The page is dated April 9, 2017, and features a large photo of Trump below a dominant headline that reads "Deportations to Begin." The accompanying story has Trump calling on Congress to fund a deportation program amid protests. “Another article focuses on a plunging stock market. Some jokes are included, such as a mention of Yellowstone National Park being renamed for Trump. “In an editorial, the Globe calls the satire "an exercise in taking a man at his word."
Which of the two are readers supposed to take the Globe at its word, the news on their regular front pages, or their silly stabs at satire? Their front page hoax story trumpets ‘The GOP Must Stop Trump’.

Unfortunately the Globe’s all-hoax special Trump edition is getting legs from a Drudge Report pickup that’s sending it viral. Mighty Drudge linked to the ‘pages’ of the fictional edition as this weekend’s top banner story. In the hullabaloo, Americans are supposed to believe that the “we-really-care” Boston Globe is saving them from evil, bad a@# Donald Trump. But there is no real special Donald Trump edition, because, in reality, it’s only a stinkin’ POP-UP editorial. ‘The GOP Must Stop Trump'? Where has the Boston Globe been while sipping their Mocha Frappuccino with double whine twist? The GOP is already doing everything humanly possible to stop populist Trump, including ever-shifting back-room strategies to keep him off the ballot. It’s only rhetorical to ask, why is the leftwing Globe not advocating ‘The GOP Must Stop Hillary’? Could it be because most everyone knows that after eight long years, the GOP has not even tried to stop Hillary’s mentor Obama?

In other words, most everyone knows that the GOP has done diddly-squat to try to save an America in decline. The GOP is more afraid of their own front runner than they are of the Obama-led Marxist cabal now running America. The must-be gleeful supporters of Ted Cruz, including some talk-show radio hosts should know that the same GOP fate awaits their man if GOP is successful in getting rid of Trump. Love, hate or still lingering in the lukewarm pool about Trump, he has every right to run for president. Ditto for Cruz. Stories in the Globe’s fake Sunday Trump edition, which include ‘New libel law targets ‘absolute scum’ in press’, show Globe editors must be dreaming in Technicolor. Guess real news and truth are not nightmarish enough for the fanciful Globe who feel desperate to get out and manufacture their own. “Might we see a cover, real or parody of Hillary in an orange jump suit and shackles? That would be fantastic”, one wag posted in the comment section following the story. The moral of the Globe story is that if you can’t put a dent in the popularity of a presidential front-runner the regular way, come up with a hoax in the hope that there is some truth in the phrase, “There’s a sucker born every minute”. Unfortunately for the desperately creative lib-left media, not everyone is foolish and not all people are fools.
