It's a sad day for socialists everywhere

Breadline aficionado Bernie Sanders in mourning as Venezuela bans breadlines

You may recall that the Bernie Sanders - the wealthy, multi-homed, socialist that he is - has a "thing" for breadlines. As he famously said:
“It’s funny; sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is, that people are lining up for food. That is a good thing. In other countries, people don’t line up for food: the rich get the food and the poor starve to death.”
Bernie's also had a lifelong affinity for the glorious socialist uprisings throughout South America and in Cuba. You and I might laugh at this, since it's completely asinine, but that's the way the old coot feels. Apparently, it's all part and parcel of thinking the United States has too many choices when it comes to deodorant.
So, breadline aficionado that he is, Bernie must be deep in mourning today. The collapsing socialist mess that is Venezuela has banned such lines at bakeries because they "generate anxiety" in the hearts of those who aren't being properly serviced by the federal machine. In other words; Venezuela's socialist system can't produce enough bread, the lines are getting out of control, that looks bad, and people start to freak out. Then, they start eating horses and killing zoo animals for food. We wouldn't want that because it presents the ugly appearance that maybe socialism isn't all it's cracked up to be. As the PanAm post reports:
The Venezuelan government has announced it will be fining bakeries that make people stand in lines to buy bread.

The National Superintendency of Fair Prices noted this measure is intended to “dismantle the strategy of generating anxiety” in Venezuelans, as the lines are more of a political decision than they are a reflection of a lack of raw materials. The decision was reportedly made after inspecting at least 1,900 bakeries across the country. Shortages of food and medicine have recently reached 80 percent, according to estimates by the firm Datanalisis. Venezuelans must stand in endless line to obtain ever-scarce resources. However, President of the National Federation of Flour Juan Crespo said in an interview “there is not enough raw material to produce bread.” “The government must understand bakeries are not wheat-processing plants and that the problem is production,” Crespo said.

As always with socialism, the system is caving in on itself and the government's answer is "fines." ...Apparently they think that bakeries, which can't get materials to make bread, causing lines to develop, will somehow be able to turn those non-sales into funds with which to pay federal fines. That makes perfect sense. As Margaret Thatcher famously said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
