Ahmad Rahami, a 28-year-old U.S. citizen born in Afghanistan, was taken into custody after a gun battle with police in Linden, New Jersey, that left two officers injured, four law enforcement sources and other officials said. At least one officer was shot in the chest during the takedown, but was not seriously wounded because he was wearing a bullet proof vest. The other was hit by glass shrapnel, officials said.
Rahami was also wounded in the shootout and is en route to a hospital. Linden Mayor Derek Armstead said he was shot in the leg.Here's are a couple of pictures from the arrest, via Twitter:
