Dan already did a fine job of explaining why the whole "Sessions/Russia" flap is a big nothingburger, so I won't rehash that here. What I will do is point out that the left seems to think this is chum in the political water. They've whipped themselves up in to a frenzy, fueled by anti-Trump hysteria and the hope that maybe - just maybe - they can finally get one of their conspiracy theories to stick.
Democrats, of course, are outraged. Why, they would never forget, ignore, or misrepresent a past meeting with a Russian diplomat! Most honest, upstanding, Dems have no reason to meet with Russian diplomats, because Ambassadors "call members of Foreign Rel Com." Isn't that right, Claire McCaskill?

See? 10 years, and she's never taken a call or meeting with ANY of these people. ...And believe me, if you're going call her a liar, you'd better have some rock solid evidence.
Like, I don't know, something from her very own Twitter feed?

At least there are no photos of her discussing global issues with a Russian Ambassador. Certainly, nothing like that exists. I mean that would be really embarrassing, right?
The bottom line with this story is that it's not a big deal. McCaskill's meetings aren't a big deal either, except for the fact that they undermine her passive-aggressive virtue signaling. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of Americans don't care much about the Sessions brouhaha. They will, however, bear witness to yet another gaggle of over-eager Democrats trying to destroy a President whose policies are becoming more popular by the day.
Their desperate, unseemly, effort to delegitimize Trump's victory will continue to backfire.
