Co-writing a Book 101: Never Trust a Co-writer Who’s a Journalist

By today’s goosey-loosey publishing standards, anybody—with even the slightest claim to fame— can write a book with all but a guarantee that it will be gobbled up by their bored lessers whose moment in the sun never seems to come. Political books draw the same kind of audience as television viewers who contend “I saw it on t.v. so it MUST be true." Take community organizers Barack and Michelle Obama, for example, who never accomplished anything in their lives other than trying to take America down.
In a culture-gone-mad world the duo will make north of $60 million doing what comes naturally to them: taking down America the Marxist way in the chapters of a best-selling book. It’s downright laughable to some that self-serving opportunist Hillary Clinton will beat them on the book launch with her book ‘What Happened’? on Sept.12. While bored and listless activists await the launch of both books, they’re erasing all things America. When their monumental handiwork is done, America as we once knew it will be only a distant memory lost to human sight, but cropping up in nostalgia here and there like the lost city of Atlantis, the fictional island in Plato's works Timaeus and Critias. When America the Beautiful gets to occasionally resurface in the memory of the masses, only those born before the 1960s will ask, “Is that really you, America?” Then we have comeback kid authors like ‘Art of the Deal’ co-author Tony Schwartz, who predicts “Trump’s About to Resign” and that “Trump’s presidency is effectively over”. Co-writing a Book 101 for all contemplating getting down to writing that book:” Never trust anyone to co-write your book—especially when it’s a journalist. They’ll likely sop up the publicity needed for television interviews, bank the money they made off you, then turn around and say they regret co-writing the book in the first place. Reading a Book 101 for all would-be readers: The co-author will state he “regrets” the book you just raved about and recommended to all your friends. Some people whose book fame goes to their head can be a little hazy when they turn their energies to the crystal ball. Not Tony Swartz. He predicts President Trump will make a deal for immunity—and then resign. According to him, the “resignation will happen soon”. That’s what he he wrote on Twitter.

“In followup tweets in response to questions, Schwartz predicted Trump would make a deal for immunity in the Russia investigation in exchange for his resignation. (Huffington Post) “The Russia stuff will be huge,” he wrote. “He doesn’t want to go to jail.”
In all the corruption embedded in U.S. politics, no one—not even Hillary Clinton—has ever gone to jail. Nor was Trump even around to take part of it.
“He also urged Trump’s opponents to keep up the pressure, and he slammed the president’s elder children. (Huffington Post) Schwartz has been predicting resignation as Trump’s endgame, making similar comments in May.

“I surely believe that at some point over the next period of time he’s going to have to figure out a way to resign,” Schwartz told CNN at the time.  “Despite authoring a book with Trump, Schwartz advised the campaign of 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for free. “
Swartz calls his bitterness about Trump’s future ‘predictions’. Some call it so much “wishful thinking”.
“This is my penance for having created a man who has become a monster,” he said in September. “I’ve spent 30 years feeling bad about it.” (Huffington Post)
Swartz takes credit for creating Donald Trump? We thought it was God Almighty! Schwartz also said he would donate his share of the profits from Art Of The Deal to the National Immigration Law Center, an organization that helps low-income immigrants. He would “donate his share of the profits from Art of The Deal to the National Immigration Law Center?” Thirty years later?! Meanwhile someone should write a book about Tony Swartz, but then again who would believe it?
