Social Justice Warriors: Antifa, anarchists, racial elitists of color and educated snobs have gone the extra mile to make themselves obsolete

Colleges produce SJWs at the expense of common sense and the nation

Social justice wish lists have grown over the years by adding the impossible: reparations for slavery, controlling CO2 levels, eradicating offensive speech, selective homicide and regulating thought in general. Advocates of these causes have ramped-up assaults on anyone who disagrees. Flooding college campuses and spilling onto surrounding streets, their disruptions signal the disintegrating state of what we refer to as education. It’s convenient to blame the rise of media, televised and electronic, for the increasing anger and violence among younger people, particularly those who’ve attended institutions of higher education. But are television and social media really the cause or is it a symptom of a deeply rooted malady?
Assumptions that every social ill traces back to inherent racism or class privilege has long been a disease manifesting in higher ed, and it seems to be a quandary as to how this occurred. It begs the age-old question of which came first – the chicken or the egg. Is it the college curriculum or the training curriculum of college administrators and teachers? We know the results of educational engineering. We’re seeing it revealed in illogical concepts such as believing reparations for slavery will abolish discrimination when, in actuality, it cements racial division for generations to come. The same invalid ‘reasoning’ applies to redistribution of wealth, that it creates equal prosperity rather than the real result of shared poverty. Venezuela’s current economic crisis is a perfect example. This ‘reasoning’ also assumes that wealth is finite and, in the same vein, students are taught to assume that resources are finite. Neither assumption is provable or correct. Why, then, are students inundated with these false premises that drive them to despair and then react to perceived but unsubstantiated wrongs? The answer is so far embedded in the educational system that it is almost beyond repair. But we need to take a look at what is being proliferated through, first, the schools and, secondly, the media.

Last week, a story came from Western Kentucky University where the student union voted that the college should supply free tuition for black students in lieu of reparations for slavery. This is worse than shortsighted. It is a wasted effort based on a delusion that giving something for nothing will assuage victimization. Another theory that has been disproved time and again. Self-esteem is the byword applied to embracing one’s victimhood to gain validation, accepting failure as systemic and assigning blame for that failure to other people… rich people, white people. Victims channel blame into threatening, bullying and beating the supposed architects of their engineered distress to build self-confidence. But mainstream psychology says that it is a false confidence and actually promotes self-devaluation. Victims are not mollified by giveaways, instead it promotes entitlement to believe that they require more as payback. There is never satisfactory recompense for what they consider suffering. This is particularly true in a situation where the victim never personally experienced the wrongdoing and is just attaching themselves to a mistreated group to gain unearned rewards. If anyone in the western hemisphere who happens to have dark skin is eligible for reparations, the reward is then based solely on color and has no connection to actual genealogy stemming from the slave trade. By this logic, Jews should go to the Egyptian government and expect reparations to be paid for the ancient Hebrews enslaved by Pharaoh. Why not? Didn’t the whole experience in Egypt create a millennia-long sojourn of discrimination that resulted in numerous genocidal efforts to wipe Jewry from the face of the earth? The discrimination can also be cited as the basis for Jews being swept into the original ghettoes of what is now Italy during the Middle Ages. As far as that goes, maybe they should sue the Italians for reparations, too. And while they’re at it, go after Spain for the Inquisition and all Muslim nations for killing and expelling them. There has been property repatriated to living and family survivors of the Holocaust but the Jewish people have not demanded reparations from modern Germany for the evil Hitler unleashed, which this week we remember.

How absurd is this whole concept of reparations. Yet institutions of higher learning are consistently beating the drum of diversity that does one thing – undermines the civil order that gives them the voice to call for its destruction. But back to the chicken and the egg… College education is not the whole crux of the problem, which boils down to throwing away common sense for a glamorized ideal of science that is not science at all. It does begin with educators but it doesn’t begin in college. College is just where the education of non-responsibility is completed, sort of like a finishing school (without their lessons in civility). The slow transformation of teaching methods can be attributed to the first teachers’ union of 1857 that turned to the 1848 Communist Manifesto in developing their objective. It has taken more than a hundred years to re-educate teachers to become educators, even inventing a new discipline to do so, that of Education. Not to disparage teachers, even I carry a degree in the field, but it is noteworthy to see how elementary lessons no longer stress learning a subject and applying facts to critical thinking (common sense being a major component). A classroom is now where students are prepared to fit in socially, accept management decisions without posing substantive questions, and are tested on how successful the teacher has been in producing that outcome. Individuality has been redefined to mean uniformity and free speech is no longer free. Universities are now where this convoluted ‘reasoning’ is perfected. Having a formal education is the latest form of discrimination and a driving force behind persons of color expecting college tuition to be waived. The misconception that only a college degree can guarantee a good job pressures young people to apply to college and ultimately fail because their aptitudes lie elsewhere. Tradesmen, journeymen and agriculture professionals are ridiculed by the ‘educated’ as if they were untouchables. But the reality is that those elitists don’t eat, travel or have shelter without the expertise of the working class they despise. Modern education has destroyed its own purpose for existence – that of participating in a fully productive social order. Antifa, anarchists, racial elitists of color and educated snobs have gone the extra mile to make themselves obsolete.
