Day of Solidarity with Iran: Rallies to Take Place Globally on July 25th



WHAT: Rallies in over 45 cities around the world in support of civil rights and human rights for the Iranian people; calling for an end to abuse of power in Iran, stopping the imprisonment, torture and killing; peace and justice for all.

WHY: Since the contested elections in Iran, on June 12th, hundreds of thousands of people have participated in demonstrations around the globe. Mounting outrage driven by video of Neda's death has sparked global solidarity with the people of Iran. New media has played an historic role in becoming Iran's lifeline to the world. Technology is now galvanizing support around the globe for the men and women of Iran. Overwhelmingly driven by women and youth, a Global Day of Action was organized.
