Prescription drug: Obamalude. Manufactured and distributed by the Democrat Pharmacological Corporation. It has been widely prescribed to treat a condition known as Degenerative Economic Disorder. Political physicians diagnosed the United States with Degenerative Economic Disorder in 2008 and the nation, almost immediately, began crying for treatment with Obamalude.
Obamalude has been marketed as a cure for slow economic growth. The problem, however, is that Obamalude itself is an economic depressant. It's main active ingredients were a purported combination of hope and change although, in reality, it contained both in such small quantities that their effects were entirely hype. As the nation soon learned, Obamalude actually contained a combination of increased taxation and reliance upon government combined with an extra secret ingredient which soon became apparent to voters - the secret ingredient being wealth envy.
Not only is Obamalude a difficult and bitter pill to swallow, it is extremely expensive. Once swallowed, it is difficult, if not impossible, for most people to keep down. Thinking people, anyway.
Side effects include, but are not limited to: Heightened levels of unemployment, depressed economic growth, multi-trillion-dollar deficits, higher energy costs, weakened military, increased levels of poverty and general, overall economic malaise. Continued doses of Obamalude only exacerbate the symptoms even though those that prescribe it attempt to convince patients that they need to KEEP taking it and in increased doses.
The problem, pharmacologically speaking, is the fact that each successive does of Obamalude causes even more severe economic damage. In other words, whereas patients experiencing DED should actually stop taking Obamalude entirely, the manufacturers are actually attempting to convince ill patients that they need to keep taking it for four more years.
Arguments have been made by conservative physicians that another four years of Obamalude will depress the central economic system to such an extent that it will actually begin to shut down and resuscitation may be required. Such resuscitative measure may include a federal default and collapse of the dollar.
Amazingly, certain segments of the population seem to crave Obamalude not realizing the deleterious effects that continued administration of the drug have upon the economy as a whole and upon personal freedoms and liberties in particular.
Since the 1970s, the United States has been engaged in a "War on Drugs". The nation should make Obamalude its prime target in that war. Outlawing and eradicating this insidious drug would be the first step to restoring our national pride and dignity and returning our country to economic prosperity.
