Election 2016, a drama even Shakespeare couldn’t write

The stage is set. The red velvet curtain is now going up on Election 2016 Act I today when Bernie Sanders endorses ‘opponent’ Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. Savvy columnist Robert Laurie writes: “Bernie will kneel before his superior and kiss the queen’s ring with glowing endorsement.” We would put it that he will be kissing a certain part of the queen’s anatomy. It’s all been written in the script.

Sanders, no longer the straw man doll Clinton’s been dragging behind her during her entire campaign, will be getting up off the floor, but only at knee level to perform what was written into the Democrat script months (if not years) ago. And the only ones left reeling in shock will be the millennials who believed Sanders’ campaign was for real and not just a pre-ordered Democrat strategy. The phony mainstream media will be doing cartwheels on making the aging socialist surrendering to the Queen of Mean “BIG NEWS!” even though it was Democrat decided from the get-go that Sanders would be brought into the nomination process to make it appear that Clinton had real competition. Millennials, indoctrinated in taxpayer-supported public schools to choose socialism over capitalism, thought they were getting the real thing in Bernie Sanders, but he was only ever in the nomination race for this day, the one when he gets to smash the bottle of champagne on Clinton’s officially launched Ship of Fools. Sanders could be the only candidate for Democrat nomination who was really all but officially out of the race before it ever began. We’ll never know what Bernie got paid for a job well-done, or if, given his age, he’ll ever be called upon again to serve as a Democrat prop.

AP got it wrong. Bernie Sanders is not Clinton’s “former” Democratic rival, but the rival that never was. Gives folk the creeps to realize that Sanders’ official cave-in to Hillary Clinton is only Act I in the hideously long drama of Election 2016. Paid malcontents, hired online over the past year, promise the biggest show of all time at the Republican National Convention set to get underway this coming weekend. That’s not even taking into consideration the teeming sub-plots that will be looking for oxygen on the inside. That’s when the red curtain will rise on Election 2016, Act II. Even in the public backlash of the cop killings, the Democrats remain buoyantly confident that Crooked Hillary Clinton will be America’s next president. Because the Democrats are confident that Hillary Clinton will be America’s next president makes Act III, the final act the scariest one of them all. That’s without even taking into consideration that depending on how things go, Obama may impose martial law to suspend elections. Most telling of all in this modern tragedy is that everyday Americans have been written into the Democrats’ script as those who must watch it all unfurl as helpless members of a captive audience.
