The United Auto Workers is not likely to make any major concessions on wages and benefits during the round of negotiations with U.S. automakers.

Sean McAlinden, vice president of research for the Center of Automotive Research, said that the UAW for the past 25 years has successfully avoided rolling back wages and benefits. The union will do it again, McAlinden told reporters during a conference for journalists that is held on the eve of the North American International Auto Show. More...
