JJ MacNab Forbes journalist JJ MacNab is "apprehensive" about violence that may take place on November 4, 2017, the day the Left plans an uprising against the allegedly fascistic Trump administration. But her concern is not that there will be violence from Antifa. No, JJ MacNab, whose focus is "anti-government extremism" according to her Twitter bio, believes that the violence will come from the Right.
Indeed, the comments highlighted by MacNab were frightening. “hahaha… little asshats on this page. I’ve got a .223 for each and everyone of you,” a commenter declared.” “Bring your little revolution.” Another angrily lashed out: “November 4th you girls will die. I’ll be waiting with my AR15 shotgun with dragons breath and my 2 45’s
A simple Google search led to the comments at the Texas Antifa Facebook Page. The comments were responding specifically to a post that said simply: “#revolutionbegins[.]” Below is a primer on November 4 2017. If you are already clued in, skip over this part. It started with a speech delivered on August 5, 2017 at the "Refuse Fascism National Meeting" by communist Andy Zee. Refuse Fascism is a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party. This speech kicked off a debate on whether or not Antifa/communists and their allies were promoting a civil war. The speech was titled "NO! This Nightmare Must End: The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America!”
"THIS NIGHTMARE MUST END. Millions feel this and ache with the question of how to stop this unrelenting horror. The stakes are nothing less than the future of humanity and the planet itself. "Who will end this nightmare? We will. Only the determined struggle of millions of people acting together with courage and conviction can drive this regime from power. "ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017: "We will gather in the streets and public squares of cities and towns across this country, at first many thousands declaring that this whole regime is illegitimate and that we will not stop until our single demand is met: This Nightmare Must End: the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! Our protest must grow day after day and night after night--thousands becoming hundreds of thousands, and then millions--determined to act to put a stop to the grave danger that the Trump/Pence Regime poses to the world by demanding that this whole regime be removed from power."

Numerous outlets downplayed the threat. Newsweek described the November 4th protests as a "Right Wing Conspiracy" and Snopes reported that there is "…no proof that any anti-fascist groups are planning even a skirmish.” So, when an Antifa Facebook group declares "Revolution Begins," people may get a bit out of sorts. But JJ MacNab is not a fan of context, as any cursory glance at her Twitter page reveals. After finding the Facebook post, this writer helpfully clued in MacNab and pointed out that the vitriol that made her "apprehensive" was in response to anti-government extremism and violent rhetoric, the very thing she claims to be against!
But MacNab responded that the Texas Antifa group is a "troll account" and should therefore, presumably, not be held to account for its anti-government extremist viewpoint and violent rhetoric. As an aside, this mentality is reminiscent of so-called hate crime "hoaxes." Hate crimes, we are told, are even worse than regular crimes so their penalties are greater. But when a hate crime turns out to be a "hoax," the perpetrator is usually released with a slap on the wrist. This is the opposite of blind justice. Why would MacNab use a known "troll account" (and it is) that is being used to deliberately provoke conservatives? Maybe she doesn't care about the truth.
