Funny polls

Polls are funny things. When Democratic voters are polled, Sanders and Clinton are very close. But when voters are asked if they think Sanders will be the nominee, only 13% think it is "very likely".

You see, I think that even people who will vote for and support Sanders can't quite believe he might pull off an upset. That explains the poll numbers. Conversely, fewer people support Hillary, but more think she's likely to be the nominee. In both cases, voters are trying to be realistic while at the same time, holding out hope. It may prove to be the same story on the Republican side, more people say they will vote for Trump than believe he will get the nomination. It's a strange phenomenon, voters who support a candidate are unsure of that candidates chance of success. I'm sure psychiatrists and pollsters are having a ball spinning the results. For sure the campaigns are in a tizzy. We are witnessing interesting times. Will the people prevail? Stewart Andersen Englewood, FL
