The total 2017 take so far: $75.4 million for RNC versus $38.1 million for DNC

GOP fundraising blowout again in June

If you only get your news from the mainstream media you may be forgiven for thinking the Republican Party was going down in flames. But fundraising figures tell a different story. June 2017 was a disaster for the Democratic National Committee.
So was May 2017. And April 2017. And, actually, all of 2017. In June the Republican National Committee raised $13.5 million, which is more than double the $5.5 million the DNC brought in during the same period. So far in 2017, the RNC has taken in a total of $75.4 million while the DNC has taken in just $38.1 million. As of June 30, the RNC had $44.7 million on hand; the DNC had $7.5 million on hand. As Aaron Bandler writes at the Daily Wire,
As it turns out, when your party doubles down on identity politics, installs a Hugo Chavez-esque figure to run the DNC, and constantly hypes impeachment, it becomes a lot harder to win and raise cash. Who knew?
