Grade-A scumbag.

Harry Reid brags: 'I've done stuff no one else will do.' ...Like lie about Mitt Romney's taxes!

I can disagree with someone and still get along well with them. I don't need to share your politics to believe you're a good person. Aside from communists and fascists, I know, trust, and respect people from virtually every point on the political spectrum. So, when I say that Harry Reid is a repugnant, lying, worthless dirtbag, I want you to understand that it has nothing to do with his political beliefs. It has everything to do with his complete lack of character, honor, and integrity.
Harry Reid is a man who, in his own words, "will do stuff no one else will do." It doesn't matter if that "stuff" has any basis in reality. If Reid thinks it will further his political agenda, he'll do it. ...Because that's the kind of guy he is. Take a look at this quote he gave New York Magazine:
“As my staff will tell you,” Reid said to me when we spoke the next day, “I’ve done a number of things because no one else will do it. I’ve done stuff no one else will do.” I expected him to give an example of a successful parliamentary maneuver or perhaps a brave political endorsement, but instead he mentioned one of the most disreputable episodes of his long career, when, during the 2012 presidential campaign, he falsely accused Mitt Romney of not having paid his taxes. (Even though the facts were wrong, the accusation spurred Romney to release his tax returns, which showed he had only paid 14.1 percent.) “I tried to get everybody to do that. I didn’t want to do that,” Reid said. “I didn’t have anything against him personally. He’s a fellow Mormon, nice guy. I went to everybody. But no one would do it. So I did it.”

Let's be perfectly clear about this. Reid accused a "nice guy" against whom he "had nothing" of tax evasion and he thinks it's no big deal, even though he couldn't find anyone else - in the morality-free zone known as Washington D.C. - who would help him do it. ...And that's something he of which he seems to be proud. That's pretty much the very definition of absolute moral bankruptcy. But what does Harry care? He did his best to destroy a good man with a lie and, in the end, he got what he wanted. That's the sort of thing Reid considers a win. The ends justified his craven means.
