Hot Mic Moment

We are hearing the Media, all of it, going hysterical with glee promoting the “hot mic moment” that revealed what Donald Trump said eleven years ago. But this brings up a few questions. For eleven years some Media person or persons sat on this “moment.” Why? Or, better yet, why release it now? Hillary is stumbling along, in more ways than one, but right now with her campaign efforts. She dropped her full bomb-load, so to speak, at the first debate. People on the Right and Left were in heavy anticipation to see what was going to happen at the next debate, tomorrow. Suddenly, after eleven years, this “hot mic moment” comes along and it’s practically all the Media is talking about. Sure, Wikileaks has released some of the transcripts of her Wall Street speeches but the Hot Mic Moment is taking priority.

The Media used the Hurricane as the prime topic for several days now and it served a useful purpose: It distracted people from the historical devastation occurring in Europe banking, especially Deutchebank, where is quickly approaching a collapse of the banking system. This collapse will also affect the system here to a huge degree and it has Wall Street biting their collective nails. Matthew served as a blessing in that it drew attention of the media away from the economical collapse in Europe and the impending banking disaster connected with it here by focusing on a natural disaster. It also served to divert attention from Hillary and tomorrow’s big debate. Again, why now? An eleven years old recording of a hot mic, a moment when an unknowing Donald Trump was recorded in a personal exchange with someone, about a woman. The media jumped all over it. It was their Sarah Palin opportunity to trash Donald Trump and they didn’t even have to go to Alaska and dig through garbage to get it. They got the taste of blood with Nixon and this is delicious to them. The recording was kept in the audio-video locker of some media person as would a demolition expert keep a bottle of nitroglycerin handy for some future and possibly nefarious purpose. And, of course, it was another Democrat “Friday News Dump” usually designed so little or no response is allowed. But because of tomorrow’s debate, it was released anyway. Now we see the media loading discussion panels with women in the majority, “outraged",women who are not only talking about that recording but also about his “Miss Piggy” comment and any other that they can used to smear Trump. They pull the race card by using female panelists with Hispanic names and flash the name repeatedly in subliminal propagandizing “The Wall” hysteria with the border-hoppers along with other ploys of a smear campaign. Remember that these women are for the most part from the Left. How convenient!

But let’s not forget that eleven years ago, Donald Trump was a Democrat

When someone tries to remind those panels that there are current concerns related to Hillary that are being forgotten, the person is lumped in with Trump by the panels as one who sides with Trump and protects misogyny. Forgotten is how Hillary was in full attack mode on women while protecting Bill and his forays into the female arena and she was not only using words to do it. I’m reminded of the old axiom: “Actions speak louder than words.” However, when it comes to Hillary, none of the old traditional sayings and logic applies. I’m also reminded of my grandmother who did not know what Nixon said on those recordings in the White House but believed what the Media said then and was down on Nixon. She commented, “The language that man uses!” I thought about it for a second or two and replied: “We did not hire him to talk pretty...” We are now in a New World of Feelings and self-inflicted injuries along with a full range of emotions. Outrage is only one of them but “outrage” is the most popular emotion used by the Left when talking about Republicans and, in this case, what Trump said. However, is this the only impetus for such emotion or is there another reason for it? This eleven year old episode is being used politically. It is not merely a form of protecting the sanctity of womanhood; it is a matter of attacking on the level of political expediency. But let’s not forget that eleven years ago, Donald Trump was a Democrat.

When Hillary is attacked politically, it is for what she has done, not for her being a woman. Most rational adults realize that being a woman alone is not enough to qualify her for a very high, decision-making leadership position in government or she would not be considered so unique. Her actions in the Benghazi affair, her Wall Street speeches and problems associated with the Clinton Foundation are what makes her what she is to many voters. This Hot Mic Moment, then, is seen by voters as a political device designed to swing votes away from Trump and, hopefully, to Hillary by joining those who would vote for her or for any Democrat, anyway. It is also used as rationale by those pretend-Republicans that say they are behind Trump but welcome anything that causes the downfall of a real Conservative because they are not true Republicans. It will be interesting to see how Trump weathers this storm. He has come through other significant charges from the Left with flying colors and has actually seen higher poll numbers as a result. This “moment” is eleven years old and it will be interesting to see if people forget it was so long ago that it was said or will their hatred for Trump and the idea of a real, Conservative president be so intense that time has no meaning to them? Considering the Time element, will the Trump haters also remember the 60 years of Democrat ownership of political/government policies that have not improved the country or will they, like the Communists, continue to have the mindset about those policies in this case that “it did not work in the past but it will next time!” and summarily ignore the correlation? Will eleven years be as nothing to them as they also forget those many years of Democrat policy failures or will they obstinately perpetuate their hatred by focusing only on an eleven years old recording? The answers to these questions have a direct bearing on the intrinsic honesty and moral fiber of America and especially toward the future of American politics.
