Ego (gargantuan), political human ego, stands in the way of saving America.
It was ego that hanged noble America in 2008, when a man whose unstoppable ego to take down America far surpassed any intent of serving the people who elected him.
If anything that should have been learned in the interminably long past eight years, it should have been to beware of oversized, leaning toward crazed ego.
But eight years on, right in the midst of the daily decline of America come two sparring spitfire egos that are giving droves of average Americans primary battle fatigue.
Constitutionalist Senator Ted Cruz and folk hero businessman Donald J. Trump are throwing so much mud at each other, there is no longer a clear path toward retiring Obama protégé Hillary Clinton.
How convenient for who is sure to be, next to Obama, the second worst president in latter-day American history.
How do We the People red-flag Cruz and Trump when neither one seems able to see see beyond their own egos?
The teaming up of Cruz and Trump would pump oxygen into the 2016 presidential election race, and throw the proverbial monkey wrench into Hillary’s chances.

Trump “just came as close as he ever will to naming his Vice Presidential running mate.”
“It appears he wants Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to join the ticket. This is a political earthquake that would shake the political establishment to the core!
Could you imagine the two biggest thorns in the side of Obama being on the same ticket next year?
“Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.
“Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,” he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.
“Well, I like him,” Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. “He’s backed everything I’ve said.”
“Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal.
“The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.”
You could have fooled us, Hill!
And now that Trump’s told Ingraham, “Well, I Iike him”, can we take Trump at his word?
Will he be saying the same thing should Cruz, as is being predicted, wins any of the upcoming caucus and primary races?
Will the decision over which man will be president or vice-president make the calling each other out the peak moment of verbal assassination?
Will Trump’s “lying Ted” or Cruz’s charge of “slurpee 7-11 Trump” sop up all the oxygen left in this frustrating primary race?

Surely they’ve dragged all of the dirty names out of the hat by now.
If only what they are saying about each other was all that could be said about either candidate who, after all, because they are only human, have visible warts that can be seen at a glance.
Meanwhile, back-biting trolls out to destroy either candidate and their camps, while tearing apart conservative media, are eating us all alive.
Rather than gloating or calling foul, talk show radio hosts on the day after the New York primary, should be calling for Ted Cruz and Donald Trump to join forces. In fact, they should be shouting it from the rooftops.
Both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump should be told in plain and loud English to put their massive egos aside and to sharpen the sword that can cut through the ropes holding Lady Liberty in bondage.
