. . . and here's what he said

I introduced Mike Pence in Atlanta last night . . .

I was honored beyond words last night to have been asked to introduce Gov. Mike Pence when he visited Atlanta last night. And while he made a lot of great points in his speech last night - all of which you can see below - I thought he may have summed it up best when he simply pointed out that while Americans are tired of all the failure they've been getting out of Washington D.C., the Democrats went ahead and nominated the one person who perfectly represents all of it. He also made a pretty bold statement about Donald Trump - that no Republican nominee since Ronald Reagan has really understood what's going through the minds and the hearts of the American people like Trump does.

Economic realities we're facing right now

I was also glad he tackled the economic realities we're facing right now - talking about the horrible 1.1 percent GDP growth we had last quarter, and the worst labor participation rate since the Carter Administration, and the exploding deficit that will only be made worse with Hillary's irresponsible new spending proposals. These are the things that every news story about this campaign should be focused on, not "gaffes" or whatever other slip-of-the-tongue political reporters like to discuss amongst themselves on Twitter. So let's make sure everyone hears about the substance of Gov. Pence's speech. It was an honor to share the stage with him, but we have much work remaining to send him and Donald Trump to Washington.
