I guess I'm in the minority and will be ridiculed for saying this but, to be honest, I would be shocked if the Dems hadn't surveilled the Republicans and vice versa. In the climate around the country of untruth, innuendo, Friday document drops, diversionary news stories, and outright lies, surveillance seems not just likely but expected. The feeling that there is no honor or loyalty or patriotism pervades the halls of government. And the desire for power drives most decisions. As far a Russian meddling, there is little doubt in my mind that it happened. And I expect we do our share of meddling in return. I don't excuse the behavior I'm just not surprised by it. Perhaps, instead of wringing our hands and looking to place blame we should put a stop to the climate that fosters these actions.
