Somewhere in the private family quarters of the White House today, President Barack Obama will observe a moment of silence for the 15th anniversary of 9/11. We learn this not from the Washington Post or the New York Times but from The Guardian in Britain. “Obama will mark Sunday’s anniversary of 9/11 by observing a moment of silence in the privacy of the White House residence at 8.46am ET, when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center. He will then deliver remarks at a Pentagon memorial service.” (Guardian.com, Sept. 10, 2016)
Most advocates of a Free Western society know down at heart that Obama’s already had his ‘Moment of Silence’ on 9/11 related issues that tell us who he really is. They know that this is the president who defiantly refuses to identify ISIS by name; the one who is trying to legislate his aversion to the term ‘Islamic terrorism” by having it altogether removed from the public lexicon. Even the many loved ones of those whose lives were lost to Islamic terrorism are forbidden to use the term. This is also the same president who works to block the families of 9/11 victims from suing Saudi Arabia in U.S. courts. Obama’s steadfast refusal to deal in any meaningful way with Islamic terrorism has emboldened the terrorists making the world a more dangerous place.

Obama’s silence on members of the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier who take issue that the new memorial honoring those who died on September 11, 2001 because the memorial refers to the attackers as “Islamic terrorists”--a phrase they believe encourages hatred toward Muslims-- is deafening. Thank God that City Manager Donald Castelluci is no Barack Obama. “The group is asking for the monument to say either “terrorists’ or “al-Qaeda terrorists. (Arab American News, Sept, 7, 2016)
“But the request is not being met with positive responses from city officials. “They want us to change the word from ‘Islamic Terrorist’ to either ‘terrorist’ or ‘Al Qaeda terrorist,’” City Manager Donald Castelluci told Fox News columnist Todd Starnes. “I sent them back an email saying I disagreed with their premise 100 percent.” “The city manager added that he has no intention to change the inscription on the memorial, stating that he doesn’t live in a “politically-correct world,” but rather lives in a “historical fact world. “The full inscription on the memorial reads:
On September 11, 2001 nineteen Islamic terrorists unsuspectedly boarded four airliners departing east coast airports to hijack the planes and carry out a series of coordinated attacks against the United States. This is a tribute to all the lives lost that day and to the heroic sacrifice of all who rushed to help. As Americans, we honor their memory by living our lives in freedom. We will never forget.
“Castelluci said the memorial “is not about religion,” but is in memory of “one event on one day that killed more than 3,000 people.”
Meantime Obama is doing his best to block the families of 9/11 victims from suing Saudi Arabia in U.S. courts.

“The House rallied behind the legislation on Friday, passing it by unanimous voice vote. The Senate had already passed the same legislation unanimously. (The Hill, Sept. 9, 2016)
“Obama has fiercely opposed the bill, arguing it could both strain relations with Saudi Arabia and also lead to retaliatory legislation overseas against U.S. citizens. The Saudi government has led a quiet campaign in Washington to kill the legislation. “Those efforts have been fruitless in Congress, however. “The legislation has broad support from both parties, and Congress could override an Obama veto for the first time if he rejects the legislation. “Such an outcome would undoubtedly embarrass Obama and divide Democrats ahead of the 2016 elections and a crucial lame-duck session of Congress. “Friday’s vote in the House was heavy with symbolism, taking place on the eve of the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. “I think the pressure is the vote,” said Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), an original backer of the bill and one of its 29 Democratic co-sponsors. "Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are unsure whether Obama will actually use his veto pen on the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act. “I presume they would have to think very carefully about a veto because it might very well be overridden,” said Nadler. “To override the president, supporters would need a two-thirds majority in each chamber. “I think the votes will be there to override it,” said Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.), who introduced the bill in the House. “The White House is clearly aware of the dicey political waters in which it is sitting. "Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton supports the bill, as does Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), who is expected to lead Senate Democrats in the next Congress. "Democrats note that the White House has chosen its words carefully when discussing how it will handle the bill. “I don't take the administration's stated objections as a presidential veto threat,” said Democratic lobbyist Jack Quinn, who is working with 9/11 victims families backing the bill. “There is thus ample room here for the president to sign JASTA or let it become law without his signature.” "For months, the White House has lobbied against the measure and strongly hinted that Obama will nix it. But officials have stopped short of issuing a full veto threat. “We have serious concerns with the bill as written,” a White House official said Wednesday, “We believe there needs to be more careful consideration of the potential unintended consequences of its enactment before the House considers the legislation,” the official said. “We would welcome opportunities to further engage with the Congress on that discussion.” “Previous revisions to the Senate bill in May did not assuage the administration’s concerns, and it’s not clear how the legislation could be changed to win over Obama. "White House press secretary Josh Earnest has repeatedly said it would be “difficult to imagine a scenario in which the president would sign the bill,” but has not said it’s impossible. "Obama has rarely been more alone than he is now in a policy debate.”
And that’s precisely where Obama should be in policy debate on anything to do with Islamic terrorism. The battle cry of hundreds of thousands of patriots, ‘Can You Hear us now? back in 2009 has been fundamentally transformed to ‘Obama, we don’t hear YOU anymore!’ It comes as heartening news that Obama notwithstanding, the 9/11 Memorial was dedicated yesterday to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The words in scripted on the Memorial that will outlast anything Obama has to say:”On September 11, 2001 nineteen Islamic terrorists unsuspectedly boarded four airliners departing east coast airports to hijack the planes and carry out a series of coordinated attacks against the United States. This is a tribute to all the lives lost that day and to the heroic sacrifice of all who rushed to help. As Americans, we honor their memory by living our lives in freedom. We will never forget.” God bless the souls of all those who died on Sept. 11, 2001. God bless America in its epic battle for sovereignty against globalism.
