Cunning Democrats who have done it most everywhere else have managed to make a political football out of serious sexual assault on campus

“It’s on us” unless rape is conducted by Islamic Terrorists

Dressed to kill in one of his his best penguin suits, Vice President Joe Biden turned up at the Academy Awards last night, on a pre-arranged mission to introduce Lady Gaga. Like proven publicity hound Lady G needed introducing. Though he touted Obama’s “It’s on us” campus rape slogan down to a fault, it won’t save anyone from becoming a victim of sexual assault. But it sounded nice to all those who have nothing more uplifting in their sterile lives to do than watching the Academy Awards on television who asked in a single breath: “Wasn’t it nice of Joe to take a stand for the victims of sexual assault?”
“It’s on us” for Obama to cash in on the major publicity of the Academy Awards on sexual assault on campus, but a true tragedy his “It’s on us” meme doesn’t reach out to garner any publicity for the hundreds of thousand of rapes of women and children who continue to fall prey to the signature brutal rapes of the Islamic terrorists. In that case, it’s all “on them”. Islamic terrorist rapes outnumber by far the sexual assaults by all of the rapes committed by alleged serial rapists out on campus, yet remain hidden from the spotlight shone by Obama and Biden. “Vice-President Joe Biden made a strong appearance at the Academy Awards, introducing Lady Gaga's Oscar-nominated "Til It Happens to You" from documentary The Hunting Ground as a part of the Obama Administration's itsonus.org pledge to stand against campus rape. While Biden's appearance was of the (very) serious variety, he still managed to get in at least one Biden-y statement: "I'm the least qualified man here tonight."

You can say that again, Mr. Veep. According to Vulture.com, “Lady Gaga is having an incredible February”. To wit: “She gave a dizzying tribute to David Bowie at the Grammys, slayed the national anthem at the Super Bowl, and now has performed "Til It Happens to You" — her song about sexual assault co-written with Diane Warren for The Hunting Ground — at the Oscars.” Who but the Hollywood press could be so gleeful at the slaying of the National Anthem? “Toward the end of the performance, a number of sexual-assault survivors joined her onstage in a powerful show of strength and solidarity. Gaga and Warren might have lost the Oscar for Best Original Song, but this is the performance that history will remember.” (Vulture) Even after being introduced by the vice president, Gaga lost out on the Oscar for Best Original Song, but retains a lock on history for her performance. No matter how outstanding any song, sexual assault can not be sung away, any more than Islamic terrorism can be blown away like dandelion fluff just by refusing to own up to naming it. But for a few moments in time, while viewers waited for the popcorn to pop, Joe Biden and Lady Gaga looked so magnanimous on stage. "We must and we can change the culture so that no abused woman or man has to ask 'what did I do?' They did nothing wrong," Biden said, after encouraging viewers to join the "It's On Us" campaign to stop sexual assault, and intervene when consent has not or can not be given.” (USA Today, Feb. 29, 2016) “Many in the audience (and no doubt at home) were moved to tears. It's been a crowded show as far as social issues go, though it's clear this focus was a highlight.” (USA Today, Feb. 29, 2016) It’s Election Year and the Democrats cashed in on a kind of publicity that leaves the lingering impression that they care--really care--about the campus victims of sexual assault. The White House It’s On Us pledge states the obvious:
I Pledge:
  1. To recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
  2. To identify situations in which sexual assault may occur.
  3. To intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
  4. To create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
The It’s On Us website offers tips for ways to honor the pledge. The tips are geared toward keeping yourself and others safe and aware while understanding the definitions of consent.
Tip No. 1: Consent is voluntary and mutual and can be withdrawn at any time
Meanwhile, cunning Democrats who have done it most everywhere else have managed to make a political football out of serious sexual assault on campus.
