And... Van Jones is 100% right about something?

Keith Ellison, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, other Dem leaders, refuse to stand and honor widow of fallen Navy SEAL

Unquestionably, the emotional high point of President Trump's excellent joint session speech was the nearly 2-minute standing ovation to honor Carryn Owens, widow of Senior Chief William ‘Ryan’ Owens who was killed in Yemen.
As President Trump put it:
We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy special operator, Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens. Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero — battling against terrorism and securing our nation. I just spoke to General [Jim] Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, “Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.” Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country and for our freedom — we will never forget him.

If you don't find that moving, I don't know what to say. ...Except, perhaps, that your name might be "Keith Ellison" or "Debbie Wasserman Schultz." It seems Democrats, who stood for a couple of seconds, were largely unimpressed with Mrs. Owens. Most of them sat back down immediately, refused to applaud, and stayed on their kobe-beef-fed rumps for the duration of the applause. Here's what it looked like:
Keith Ellison, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, other top Dems, refuse to stand and applaud widow of fallen Navy SEAL Unfortunately, a grieving widow wasn't the only thing Democrats refused to support. They also stayed seated during standing ovations aimed at supporting law enforcement and protecting the country from Islamic terrorism: This morning, they're doing their best to trash Trump's address, saying he "managed to read" a speech and "exploit" a woman who just lost her husband. However, Obama's State of the Union addresses were all scripted, and they were vastly more exploitative, but Dems had no problem standing and applauding. The bottom line is that their behavior last night simply looked bad. It was terrible optics for a party of spoiled brats that seems to wallow in bitterness about their own political impotence. Trump delivered a speech that was, by virtually all accounts, a home run and a marginalized gaggle of Democrats are scrambling for a way to tear it down. They're only digging themselves deeper into an already bottomless-pit of failure, but they're incapable of recognizing that fact. Heck, when even Van Jones - yes that Van Jones - is praising a Trump speech, you know the Dem party is in a world of hurt.
Oooof.... That's gotta sting.
