Real cause of Dr. King – to bring this nation together in a fulfillment of his vision, a great unified America

Like John Lewis, shamelessly I glom onto MLK’s legacy

The hackery that is prevalent within the democrat party has become so virulent, it is on the verge of accomplishing its decades-long goal of undermining the foundations of our government. In many ways, the goal has already been reached, particularly when party toadies the likes of John Lewis have built their career on a single act, even if it was one deserving merit.
Thus, it seems sensible that someone like me should take similar steps to further a cause célèbre on the same basis – glomming on to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Should you wonder how some previously unknown, non-black person could possibly attach themselves to the civil rights leader, here’s how it works… I met Dr. King and shook his hand two weeks before his voice of reason was lost to us that tragic day in Memphis in 1968. The difference between Lewis and myself? I didn’t make a career receiving government paychecks by constantly referring to one life moment, however much it affected the rest of that life. Nor did I twist and misrepresent Dr. King’s message delivered in his now venerated “I Have A Dream” speech, which I heard from the press box when he delivered it for the last time in Anaheim, California. I didn’t recreate myself as a hero off the heroic actions of another.

The Left have disallowed, distorted, manipulated the legacy of Dr. King to foster the very disunity, inequity and hate he rejected?

But now that Lewis is pulling out all the stops to defame and delegitimize the new president and his incoming administration, it appeared to be the time to call in markers in order to stand up for the Real Dr. King. The man who spoke of true equality, not diversity; of one culture of freedom, not multiculturalism; of no color, not many colors; of one race – mankind, not many races. Dr. King preached the true liberty of Christ, even calling history, “His Story.” When will the left realize they have disallowed, distorted and manipulated the legacy of Dr. King to foster the very disunity, inequity and hate he rejected? The answer? They will not. Democrats will continue to drag through the mud of power mongering Dr. King’s legacy of hope, reverting to the violent tactics he reviled. No, it’s time a young teenager, who had the great opportunity to meet a man of God who instilled hope in a hopeless world, proclaimed a connection to the real cause of Dr. King – to bring this nation together in a fulfillment of his vision, a great unified America.
