Marxist Momma heads Denver Dem Convention

Leah DaughtryRev. Jeremiah Wright in a skirt is Chief Executive Officer of this month’s Democratic National Convention in Denver. While the media hounded Wright for his anti-American rants and while presidential hopeful Senator Barack Hussein Obama divorced him as his personal pastor, Obama’s head will be crowned by Leah Daughtry, who ardently believes in the same Marxist “Black Liberation Theology” preached by Wright. Readers can step, figuratively into Daughtry’s Washington, DC church with the New York Times:
…”Behind her as she preached, a simple wooden cross hung on a brick wall, in the vaulted and sizable sanctuary of the church, which is headed by her father, Herbert Daughtry. A prison convert who served time in his early 20s for armed robbery and passing bad checks, Herbert Daughtry—whose father founded the church and whose grandfather and great-grandfather were also ministers—became the church’s pastor 50 years ago, and today Leah was delivering the sermon as part of an anniversary celebration.

Below the sanctuary, in the fellowship hall, a banner for slavery reparations proclaimed, “They Owe Us.” Fliers, recounted Herbert Daughtry’s arrest, a few weeks earlier, as he led marchers protesting the not-guilty verdict in the police killing of Sean bell, an unarmed black man. His ministry has always combined consuming spirituality with black liberation theology—the theology Jeremiah Wright invoked this spring to defend his controversial sermons—and zealous political activism. Leah holds these forces within her.”
“But wait there’s more! This New York-born Pentecostal minister is not only the head of their religious outreach, she’s the CEO of the Democratic National Convention. That’s right, the CEO of the DNC is a MARXIST! Folks…do we really need any more proof?” ( conservativepunk.com, July 21, 2008). Like Wright, Daughtry is in your face about her activism: “That’s why I work in politics. My family, we’re activists,” she described herself to TheHill.com in May 2007. Among other things, the Rev. Daughtry believes that God finds abortion acceptable. If God finds it acceptable, why shouldn’t Obama? The Hill’s Betsy Rothstein pitched 20 questions to Daughtry. When Daughtry was asked if her faith as a Pentecostal fit with the Democratic Party, she answered, “Of course. Why wouldn’t it fit? The Democratic Party is full of people of faith.” The Hill asked, “What kind of personality do you bring to your ministry?” She responded, “My congregation would say I am a nurturer. I’m everybody’s mother, everybody’s big sister. Truth teller. Hugger, Kick in the pants.” Some would say with Marxist Momma in the top job, It’s little wonder why Barack Obama is the DNC’s Golden Boy coming to Denver with mainstream media garnered rock star status. His lack of experience, no substance, nobody home in an empty suit or even valid proof of what Bruce Springsteen would call “Born in the USA” matters not to the White House coveting Dems. “Have you been to our conventions? Music and waving and happiness, it’s perfect,” Daughtry told Betsy Rothstein. “Is the Democratic Party suicidal,” asks conservativepunk.com. No, just Marxist!
