Survival of the United States of America as a free and democratic republic

McCain is the One

The upcoming election is not about whether you favor a left leaning government, or one leaning to the right. It’s about whether you want to retain your freedom of speech, free elections, and our way of government.

It’s about whether you want a society filled with welfare-state deadbeats, apparatchiks, and a propaganda-spewing mass media. It’s about whether you want to get in bed with Hugo Chavez, Castro, Hamas, and the PLO. It’s about whether you want continued government-subsidized genocide of unborn infants. It’s about the survival of the United States of America as a free and democratic republic. If Obama is elected President, this country will have a Democratic President with a Marxist agenda, in league with a Democratic Congress with a Socialist agenda, backed by a liberal-leaning Supreme Court. We’re talking about a catastrophic displacement of our government, our economic system, and our culture. Such an upheaval is not something we want at the best of times, and it is certainly not something we can afford in a time of such great economic uncertainty. America needs to elect John McCain President. It’s a matter of survival, pure and simple. As bad as an Obama Presidency will be for our country internally, it will be even worse in the international arena. Smelling a meal, foreign “wolves” are already scratching at our door. Even Obama’s running mate, Joe Biden, senses it. Senator Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972, and is a long-time member, and current chairman, of the Foreign Relations Committee. Listen to his words: “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama… Remember I said it standing here, if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch -- we're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." Oct. 19, 2008 -- Seattle, Washington Would he say that about John McCain? Would the foreign wolves see America as such a tempting meal if McCain were President? The answer, of course, is no. McCain is a bona fide war hero, with over five years of brutal POW experience, and over 25 years in Congress. He says that when he looks in Putin’s eyes “all I see are the letters K-G-B.” No need to test this guys mettle. The wolves know. McCain hasn’t exactly been embraced by the Republican right-wing, but he needs to be. Now is not the time for ideological hair-splitting. Now is the time for unity. The very things that disturb the right-wing about McCain, are the very things that will hopefully attract moderate Democrats and Independents to vote for him. If you don’t vote for McCain, then you are voting for Obama. That bears repeating. If you do not vote for McCain; you’re voting for Obama. If you’re a moderate Democrat wary of Obama, a right-wing Republican, or an Independent voter with conservative leanings, then you need to cast your vote for McCain. If you decide to “sit this one out,” or vote for someone besides McCain, then you have taken away a vote from McCain, and, by default, given a vote to Obama. Regarding Governor Palin: Some folks have doubts about Sarah Palin as McCain’s choice for his running mate. Why? Are they afraid of an intelligent, strong, personable, woman of faith in the White House? They’d rather have Obama? Palin has a real track record – one you can actually research and examine; unlike much of Obama’s. Obama’s record, what there is of it, is all far left, or “Present.” His forte is getting elected to office, so he can get elected to a higher office. Palin has a proven track record as a mayor and Governor – Obama has neither qualification. Palin might not be John McCain, but much more importantly, she emphatically is not Obama. I believe that any reservations voiced about Palin’s ability in the Oval Office are ungrounded fear-mongering. If I had to bet who would be the quickest learner in the White House – Obama or Palin -- my money would be on Sarah, and I’d bet big. Remember; your country first -- and your country needs you like never before. Addendum: After the recent New York Times hatchet job on Cindy McCain, I guess that Obama’s cocaine use is fair game. Thought I’d mention it in passing.
