In the meantime, America’s borders remain open for Muslim terrorists

Most Americans support Trump’s temporary travel ban

Most Americans support Executive Order 13769, President Trump’s temporary ban on visitors from seven Islamic terrorism-plagued countries, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll. “Despite almost nonstop criticism from politicians, prominent business leaders and the media over President Trump’s decision to suspend refugees for 120 days, the public still supports Trump by a margin of 51% to 48%,” Investor’s Business Daily reports.
The poll was carried out Jan. 27, the day the president signed the order, through Feb. 2. The sample size was 885 individuals contacted by live interviewers on cellphones and landlines. The margin of error is +/- 3.3 percentage points. EO 13769, “Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States,” blocks visas for 90 days for “immigrants and non-immigrants” from the terrorism-producing Muslim-majority countries of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. The order also prevents refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days, indefinitely halts the entry of Syrian refugees, and adjusts downward the cap on refugee admission into the U.S. to 50,000 during the current federal fiscal year which ends Sept. 30, 2017. President Obama issued a similar executive order regarding the same seven terrorist hotspot countries a few years ago. The order has run into plenty of problems. On Jan. 28 Judge Ann M. Donnelly of the U.S. District Court Eastern District of New York, issued a partial stay that allowed aliens from the affected countries already in the U.S. to remain in the country. She acted at the behest of George Soros-funded groups such as the ACLU.

Acting Attorney General Sally Yates refused to enforce it and was promptly (and appropriately) fired by President Trump on Jan. 30. On Feb. 3 Judge James Robart of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington issued an injunction temporarily blocking the executive order in its entirety, pending review of an outrageously silly lawsuit brought by Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson (D). The same day the Trump administration asked the notoriously wacky U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for an emergency stay of Robart’s ruling. The Ninth Circuit said no, and just a few minutes ago heard arguments from the parties. It is unclear when the three-judge panel will issue its ruling. In the meantime, America’s borders remain open for Muslim terrorists.
