Here are some current and real facts for you to ponder as we decide where our Country is going to go after November this year.

National Debt

Americans Everywhere; The alarm clock is ringing!

The Director of The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Douglas Elmendorf testified before OUR Senate Budget Committee and declared that the cumulative deficits over the next ten years could run as much as $12 TRILLION DOLLARS if current policies remain in place. "The longer you wait to make those policy changes...the greater the negative consequences (of the national debt) will be", he said. He also stated in his testimony that under current policies the National Public Debt would reach nearly 100% of GDP (all annual economic activity in the United States) in 10 years. Mr. Elmendorf stated if "deep budget cuts" were not made OUR federal government risks sending the nation into a "fiscal crisis". He reported the budget deficit for this year is expected to be $1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS. He warned congress if they didn't start balancing the budget soon it would be too late to head off, or at least minimize, a national debt-driven "fiscal calamity" in the future. He had several more dire warnings if "deep budget cuts" aren't made. In only 10 years OUR National debt will be more than $26 TRILLION DOLLARS. These actual numbers, warnings, predictions didn't come from a Political Party, Republican led House, Democrat led Senate, the White House, or TV Pundits. They are from the top numbers cruncher, if you will, for Congress. The responsibility of the CBO is to keep Congress informed where they (WE) are financially. They are the bookkeepers. Anyone who watched or listened to president Obama in his State of the Union Address last January heard him propose BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS OF DOLLARS more in spending on federal programs. And sure enough, a couple of weeks ago, he proposed a $3.8 trillion dollar budget to congress with another deficit of $1.3 trillion to be added to the present national debt of almost $16 trillion dollars. That budget proposal was so ridiculous it failed the House by a vote of 414 to 0. Let us reason together for just a moment and seriously, without political prejudice, ask ourselves as individual Americans why on earth, in the face of the facts of OUR Nation's situation, would President Obama, or any president, do this? When we, as a nation, are headed for a $26 TRILLION indebtedness, why would he want to add more to it? I beg you to allow me to offer for your consideration two reasons it possibly could be. It seems from his budget proposal, either he has learned very little about the economic crisis facing this country or he doesn't care. He is either incompetent or it is intentional for another purpose. Either way, it is not a good thing for OUR Country. Americans everywhere cried out loudly in November of 2010 to OUR government to stop over spending and reduce OUR debt, yet president Obama goes in the exact opposite direction as though WE don't matter. WHY, WHY, WHY? Every person in both of OUR houses of Congress, regardless of party, who are willing to shut down this man's appetite for national public debt needs OUR support. I urge all of you to acquire the phone numbers of your Representative and Senators, call them and lodge your concern about OUR debt and demand they not only stop increasing spending but start reducing it. Support those men and women from your state who are running for House and Senate seats, who will work to shut this down and reverse it. WE THE PEOPLE must get involved in this. Please urge everyone you know to do the same. We all know that rhetoric is rhetoric and facts are facts. With the national election only 7 months away we will hear a lot of rhetoric and brilliant speeches just as we did in 2008. Here are some current and real facts for you to ponder as we decide where our Country is going to go after November this year. As of 11:00 A. M. on this day, April 20, 2012:
  • National Debt: $15,677,027,900,416 (trillion);
  • Increase: $3,970,116,323 (billion) per day;
  • Budget Deficit: $1,323,838,505,986 (trillion);
  • United States Population: 313,392,532 (million);
  • Debt per citizen: every man, woman, and child...$50,021 (thousand);
  • Number of U.S. Income Tax Payers: 113,437,481 (million);
  • Debt per Taxpayer; $138,254 (thousand);
  • Official Unemployed: 12,839,192 (million);
  • Actual Unemployed: 22,729,403 (million);
  • Number of Food Stamp Recipients: 46,812,154 (million);
  • Number of Medicaid Recipients: 50,500,000 (million);
  • Number of Medicare Recipients: 47,000,000 (million);
  • Number of Social Security Recipients: 52,000,000 (million);
  • Number of SSI Recipients: 5,000,000 (million)
  • Number Receiving Cash Income Supplement from the Federal Government: 24,000,000 (million);
The CBO estimates $trillions of dollars more will be added the the debt if Obamacare isn't declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. There is no conceivable way all this can be sustained, and we the people remain free from government control of our lives. Is the answer more taxes on those already taxed? Facts to ponder:
  • The top 1% of income earners in the United States pay 39% of all Federal Income Taxes;
  • The top 20% of income earners in the United States pay 86% of all Federal Income Taxes;
  • The bottom 50% of income earners in the Unites States pay 1% of all Federal Income Taxes;
  • 49% of the people in the United States pay no Federal Income Taxes;
If every working person in America were taxed their entire income (100%) it would not pay half the Federal Debt. If the wealthiest 1% of Americans were taxed their entire income (100%) it wouldn't make a dent in Obama's just proposed budget deficit for 2013. For all those who believe this is the way we should continue as a nation, Barack Obama is your man. For all those who believe this needs to be stopped and reversed, Barack Obama's employment must be terminated. May God bless the United states of America and keep us free. Until next time.
