NATIONAL REGISTRY

Gun control nuts of the Left are pushing for the national registry of gun owners. It's a "common sense" measure that, according to the anti-gun zealots, is worth imposing on America if only one life can be saved by it. Never mind that those who are targeted with the registration are law-abiding individuals, for otherwise they would not have passed the background check that is required for lawful acquisition of a firearm. Never mind that gangsters and criminals do not show much desire to comply with the law and are not going to register their tools of trade. Never mind that the right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and registration of all those who wish to exercise their Constitutionally-protected rights smells like an invitation of oppression and enslavement.
In some states, like California, that gained notoriety for its draconian (that is the real meaning of "common-sensical" in the gun-control context) anti-gun laws, the registries of gun owners have already been instituted. The purpose of these registries is obvious to all who are smart enough to see through the demagoguery that accompanies passing of the said laws: to facilitate confiscation or destruction of armory that is being (gradually, so far) delegalized by a steady stream of more and more restrictive bills, which California's recent "Armageddon" is an example of. But in the eyes of Leftist freedom grabbers there is never enough gun control. So, beginning January 1, 2018, a discretionary state-issued permit will be required to purchase any ammunition, and a centralized registry of ammunition buyers and purchases they have made will be established. All this in order to "safeguard the ability of law-abiding, responsible Californians to own guns for self-defense, hunting and recreation" (quotation from California "Safety for All" act of 2016). Yeah, right. How about licensing all American citizens willing to exercise their right to criticize their government on Internet blogs and comments sections in order to "safeguard" their ability to participate in civil discussions? Yet the anti-gun hard-liners will attack every effort to protect the idea of armed citizenry, falsely claiming that the purpose of gun registration is merely to assist law enforcement with apprehensions of assassins and murderers. They will accuse the Second Amendment advocates of paranoia when these advocates express skepticism about the real intentions of registration. They will deceive the American public, downplaying the chances that disarming the people is a prelude to the permanent submission of the people to their government. Unfortunately, many Americans, persuaded by the persistent anti-gun propaganda and distorted news about the shootings and their root causes, are buying the lie that there is nothing wrong with gun owner registry. But how possibly can they know what the Leftist demagogues are really up to?

One of the Left's known pathologies is its propensity to projection. They will project on others their own sinister intentions, seeing a fascist or nazi (both being offspring of Leftist ideology) psychopath in every individual who wants to defend his culture, country, and individual liberty. They will resort to absurd accusations of "wide Right-wing conspiracy" while they are conspiring to turn America into something similar to the Soviet Union. This is how one can figure out what are the Left's real intentions regarding registration. A Washington Post article, under the quite revealing title "An un-American Registry", recently decried Donald Trump's idea of registration of Muslim immigrants as a means of protection of American public against the threat of Islamic radicalism. The Post questioned whether "requiring Muslims in the United States to register in a government database [...] would differ from Nazi Germany’s policies in the 1930s singling out Jews, including by having them register property." Then the Post lamented that, according to the registry plan, "visitors and immigrants from higher-risk countries, mainly Muslims, [would have] to submit to fingerprinting, interrogations and in some cases parole-like check-ins with authorities." It concluded that a "registry of immigrants [...] would propel the United States into an era of officially induced fear and suspicion." All the above things that the Post, a Left-leaning outfit, is accusing Trump and his advisors of are describing pretty accurately what the anti-gun hard-liners have in mind while promoting the idea of the gun owner registry. Un-American, similar to Nazi Germany's policies, leading to fear, dispossession, and worse. It does not matter to the Post that the immigrants do not have the God-given right to immigrate to America and - when they pose a risk to our country - may be subjected to any control that is needed for our national security. If they object to these measures, they may just not come here. One could only wish that the Post were equally sensitive to the actual rights of American citizens whose lawful interest the American laws and policies are supposed to serve.

If it was my choice, I would rather screen and register Muslim immigrants than law-abiding gun owners

Stopping Islam fanatics, Sharia law zealots, and radicalizable Muslims from coming to America would certainly save more than one life, so - applying the logic of gun control - it is well worth doing. Unlike the draconian anti-gun laws, it would be perfectly Constitutional since foreigners abroad are not protected by the Bill of Rights. Yet the Left's ideologues deem it unacceptable and attack Trump for even proposing it. The Left really doesn't mind proliferation of Sharia law and Islamic propaganda that provide the breeding environment for terror, including beheading, and other means of imposition on others of the "religion of peace," which - according to the Koran - is in the state of permanent war with the "infidels". Somehow, what the Left is afraid of is that the armed American citizenry may nix its plans to turn the United States into the same kind of socialistic regime that it claims Trump's administration is trying to replicate. (Here we see another instance of projection.) If it was my choice, I would rather screen and register Muslim immigrants than law-abiding gun owners, and also all those neo-Soviet ideologues, activists, and their useful idiots, who are conspiring to disarm the American citizenry. It would certainly help us watch, expose, and stop these dangerous individuals before it is too late to save the Republic from their onslaught.
