NATO Alliance Members Fighting Trump Not Terrorism

It was an iconic picture worth framing, one that should never be allowed to pass into obscurity. Here were the so-called Western ‘leaders’ on public display just three days after the horrific Islamist terrorist attack in Manchester, gathered together for a photo-op at NATO’s new $1.2 billion headquarters in Brussels, a safe and fortified bunker for the elite while their people remain vulnerable to the horrors of Islamist terrorism. Some of them actually bristled that U.S. President Donald Trump dared call attention to the loss of 22 lives and the scores of injured at yet another Islamist terrorist attack, in the wake of telling a group of Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia, "Drive them (the terrorists) out. Drive them out of your places of worship. Drive them out of your communities. Drive them out of your holy land and drive them out of this earth." Words forever lost on Western leaders whose hearts aren’t really in the fight against terrorism and who see fighting Trump as far more important than fighting terrorism.

Forceful and resolved in words and action is not the style of Western leaders of the day

Forceful and resolved in words and action is not the style of Western leaders of the day, who continue to overrun their own populations with migrants, some from the same country where second generation Manchester terrorist Salman Abedi, the son of Libyan refugees to the United Kingdom, got Iranian training to kill and maim young, innocent British civilians on Monday night. Back at the NATO headquarters, one of them, newly-elected and visibly gauche French President Emmanuel Macron was reported to have even “snickered” during Trump’s passionate remarks. “Lecturing European leaders on the 'unchecked flow of migrants’, Trump warned: “Terrorism must be stopped or ... the horror you saw in Manchester and so many other places will continue forever,' referring to Monday's suicide bomb in the northern English city that killed 22 people, including children.”  (Daily Mail, May 25, 2017) Speaking to NATO leaders, America’s 45th reiterated with boldness that the US would “NEVER” stop fighting terrorism.

Messages are only so much rhetoric when not backed up by action

Surely there was irony to be found in the sound of the military flypast and marching band, part of the orchestrated pomp and circumstance as the alliance proudly took possession of the curved glass and steel building meant to send out a message of a new unified future. Messages are only so much rhetoric when not backed up by action.
“I never asked once what the new NATO headquarters cost. I refuse to do that but it is beautiful,” Trump said, leaving many bemused as to whether he was being humorous or not. (Daily Mail) “Two years behind schedule, the futuristic structure of eight interlinked wings stands hunkered into the ground of a former Belgian airfield bombed by both sides in World War II. “This new NATO base is meant to be a symbol of a rock-solid, transatlantic alliance ready for the future after keeping the peace in Europe for the past 70 years.”
But where is the peace from the increasing number of Islamist terrorist attacks that continue to claim lives of innocents in the Free West?

Members of the alliance must finally contribute their fair share and meet their financial obligations

Trump, who went after alliance members for not meeting their financial obligations as they were standing within a few feet from him, was immediately torpedoed by the mainstream media for doing so: "Members of the alliance must finally contribute their fair share and meet their financial obligations," Trump told the heads of state, who stood silently -- some shifting uncomfortably -- behind him. (CNN, May 25, 2017 )
"Twenty-three of the 28 member nations are still not paying what they should be paying and what they are supposed to be paying for their defense. This is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States," he said. “The call appeared to reveal Trump's continued misunderstanding of NATO members' defense commitments. While Trump argued that many of the allies "owe massive amounts of money from past years," the 2% defense spending benchmark that allies must meet is designed to boost their military, not to funnel money to NATO or other allies. “Trump's remarks -- paired with his conspicuous decision not to reiterate US commitment to NATO's mutual defense provision, Article 5 -- are likely to unsettle allies who had hoped to hear Trump assuage their concerns about his commitment to the historic alliance.”

WHERE is NATO’s protection of the citizenry against terrorism?

But in a world that recklessly tries to appease deranged jihadists, how many NATO alliance members spend more on bringing untested migrants to their shores, rather than they do boosting their military? WHERE is NATO’s protection of the citizenry against terrorism? Its members seem more hung up about Trump’s halting the flow of refugees into the U.S., some even in the wake of the Manchester terrorist attack seeming to help the MSM get back to the job they love most: attacking Donald Trump.
“While Trump signed an executive order to halt the flow of refugees into the US and ban citizens of several Muslim-majority countries, other NATO leaders have opened their countries to refugees and beat back criticism that those policies could increase the terror threat. (CNN) “Speaking ahead of Trump at the unveiling of a memorial to the fall of the Berlin Wall was German Chancellor Angela Merkel.  “NATO allies should remain "united in the trust that it is not isolation and the building of walls that make us successful, but an open society," she said.”

Merkel’s “open society” sounds a lot like the one being propagated by activist billionaire George Soros

Merkel’s “open society” sounds a lot like the one being propagated by activist billionaire George Soros. Could the Western leaders who comprise NATO be hiding their inability to deal with increasing Islamist terrorism behind their visceral hatred of the duly-elected President Donald Trump? Their lavish, over the top $1.2 billion headquarters does nothing to protect their citizens from the horror of Islamist terrorism, but is just another ostentatious ivory tower in the One World Order-advocating Brussels. Angela Merkel, Theresa May, Emmanuel Marcon and other ‘leaders’ of the West, get out of the fraught-with-lies, time-wasting US. Democrat/global elite/mainstream media-inspired catfight against Donald Trump and into the battle that matters most to the protection of human lives, the one the rest of us call the necessary fight for survival against Islamist terrorism.
