No collusion or obstruction of justice

Testifying on Thursday, June 8 before the Senate Intelligence Committee, former FBI Director James Comey showed us why we should be glad he was fired as FBI director. I watched as Senate Democrats on the committee tried to get former FBI director James Comey to give them some sound bites to "prove" that President Trump obstructed justice by making Comey stop an investigation of him. How absurd! They knew the day before, after reading the text of Comey's next-day statement read before the Senate committee, that there was no investigation of Donald Trump going on. There can be no obstruction if there was no investigation!

Now it comes out that the FBI has known since September 2015 about Russia's attempts to interfere with our elections. They have had nearly two years to discover if there was any Trump collusion and have found nothing to investigate! The Trump-Russia collusion story is a total concoction of the mainstream media, with pieces of information leaked by Trump-haters within the intelligence community to obliging news companies. The collusion? Any time Donald Trump, his campaign, those any way associated with the campaign or Trump in his business or personal life, met with Russian government officials or with businessmen doing business with Russia. Thousands of Americans, including many of the Democrats leading the attacks on Donald Trump, would be considered to be "colluding" using the same standard of so-called guilt. How were these connections discovered? Through intelligence that supposedly was not being done on U.S. citizens. Those U.S. citizens had to be unmasked before their names could be spread throughout the intelligence community and the rest of the Obama administration.

There are no grounds for making any comparison with efforts to impeach President Nixon in 1973 and 1974. They had tapes of Nixon where he was talking about his involvement in an actual illegal activity in which people were arrested and convicted of crimes. Here we have the word of Comey, a liar, saying that Trump's HOPE that Comey would go easy on Mike Flynn, who is not even accused of a crime but is only being INVESTIGATED, was not a crime itself but only VERY CONCERNING to Comey. And the FBI Director didn't even act on those words as an order like he did when he followed what the husband of someone under criminal investigation told him to do through A.G. Lynch. Comey, at Lynch's bidding, asserted that those clearly described illegal acts of Hillary Clinton were not prosecutable. What began as an investigation of Russia supposedly installing their man as President has now morphed into the U.S. Attorney General appointing a Special Counsel to investigate Trump supposedly colluding with Russia to become President.

But according to the words of Senator Feinstein, former CIA Director John Brennan and other Democrats, there is no evidence at all of collusion. Virginia Senator Mark Warner said there is no "smoking gun" of Trump colluding with the Russians but there is "plenty of smoke," whatever in the world that means! The smoke, Mr. Warner, is the media creating a false scenario of impeachment to hide all the positive things our President is doing, until you can build a political opposition to Trump big enough to impeach him. As Mark Levin pointed out Thursday: where is Russia in the investigation? Levin described it as "a Democrat-run pre-impeachment hearing”. The Democrats are having their way in creating all kinds of, in effect, pre-impeachment hearings And Sen. McConnell and other Republican leaders just sit back and give their assent to the process. What else are they investigating if it's not simply to, after many more months and even years, dig up some dirt to give a basis for their accusations of impeachment? And if they turn enough American sentiment to the Democrats, they will have a House and a Senate with enough votes to bring Republicans in and actually impeach him. Of course his "high crimes and misdemeanors" will all be manufactured since his only crime is defeating a Democrat for President and stopping Pres. Obama's anti-American agenda from being implemented.

After 21 months there is no evidence of collusion of Donald Trump with Russia, and Trump has engaged in no obstruction of justice

Let's say that it is accurate that Comey told President Trump that he wasn't under investigation and the President asked him ("pressured" him according to NY Times spin) to make it public to stop rumors that he WAS being investigated. It wouldn't be obstruction of justice because 1. "justice" here would actually be Comey clearing the air of specious accusations by publicly announcing that Trump wasn’t being investigated and 2. If there are no legal proceedings or investigation of alleged illegal acts, there is nothing to obstruct. It doesn't even apply if defined according to Miriam-Webster who give one of the broader definitions of "obstruction of justice" that I found. Miriam-Webster definition of "obstruction of justice" is "the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer or by furnishing false information in or otherwise impeding an investigation or legal process.” Since, after 21 months there is no evidence of collusion of Donald Trump with Russia, and Trump has engaged in no obstruction of justice, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has no business going after Donald Trump in his investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and should be told his services are no longer required.
