Obama’s Recklessness & SEAL Team 6

Congress has finally announced that it would investigate the helicopter crash that killed 22 members of SEAL Team 6. That would be the same SEAL Team 6 that took out Osama bin Laden.

Family members claim that our SEALS were placed in unnecessary danger by the recklessness of the Obama administration, according to frontpagemag.com. The families consider the actions of the administration to be criminal. You and I aren't even supposed to know that the magnificent SEAL Team 6 even exists. It's a covert unit whose operations are classified. Nobody knows which members were directly involved in the bin Laden killing or which of those SEALS died when the Chinook helicopter they rode in was brought down by the Taliban. But, Obama and the administration just had to boast about the bin Laden killing, not at all concerned about the safety of the Team. Just two days after bin Laden was removed from service, Vice Idiot, Joe Biden announced to an audience at the Ritz Carlton that it was our SEALS who exterminated Osama. Biden, as he leaked like a sieve, marveled at how none of the 16 members of congress who were briefed about the raid never leaked about the raid.

"As a result, SEAL Team 6 members realized they had a target painted on their backs", writes Arnold Ahlert. The media writes this sort of thing off as a typical Biden gaffe rather that the egregious national security leak that it was. Charles Strange, father of slain SEAL Michael Strange was assured by Obama that he would look "very, very, very deep into this". How very, very, very reassuring that must have been to Mr. Strange. Strange went on to tell Michael Savage that his son told him something was going on with the Team. The Team knew "something was up". Keep in mind, nobody is better at staying alive than a Navy SEAL. I'm inclined to take their suspicions seriously. Thirty-eight people were killed when the Chinook crashed. Seven were members of the Afghan National Army who were replaced at the last minute by other Afghan military officials who were not on the flight manifest. This raises the possibility of Taliban infiltrators. Charles Strange also wants to know why his son's body was cremated. He claims it was unnecessary. The military claims the black box was never recovered. The story is that it was washed away in a flash flood which would make more sense if flash floods were not so terribly rare in Afghanistan. The families would like to know why the Team was flown into a hot combat zone in a helicopter manufactured in the 1960's. Why was such a large group of SEALS placed on one aircraft and with no aerial backup? Karen Vaughn, addressing the National Press Club wanted to know why there was no pre-assault fire? The families were told that pre-assault fire damages our efforts to win the hearts and minds of our enemies. That hearts and minds business has been a real win-win for us all around. To further injure the grieving families, in a funeral ceremony at Bagram Air Base, a Muslim cleric was allowed to recite a prayer "condemning the 'infidels' to eternal damnation”. All the families are asking for is a thorough investigation into the incident, which represents the largest loss of life since our involvement in Afghanistan began. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has promised to "dive into this". Let's hope he does. Surely if Congress can find time to investigate major league baseball, they can investigate yet another tragedy involving the Obama administration and our military. Joy Tiz ©2013
