One More Year – Can We Tolerate Any More Unjustified Deaths at Veterans Admin.?

A January 31, 2016 online publication by Daily Sanity from Conservative-Daily.com and fellow Conservative Joe Otto reports that “Another veteran just died as a result of the VA scandal and no one was fired…” I might have inserted before the initials ‘VA’ the words “Barack Obama’s” for it to read: “Another veteran just died as a result of Barack Obama’s VA scandal and no one was fired…” and I might have added to that statement, “including the incompetent Usurper himself.”
The headline for the report was, “The VA Scandal Claims Another Hero’s Life” and there is no way I or anyone can improve on that. Joe Otto, the author, could have, in all probability, continued or added more devastating information about the horrendous state of business that has caused a most egregious period of disgraceful conduct for a health dispensing operation to our worthy and needing military veterans. I’m not talking about just a shortage of medicines and health-boosting products, I’m talking about HUMAN LIVES; lives of brave men and women who entrusted our government to fulfill the mission to which it was sworn when hired by the Veterans’ Administration. Had this incident that Mr. Otto detailed in his report been the first, it would not have been excusable, but more understandable; but I seriously doubt that anyone in this part of the U. S. Government could recite how many, many more times that has plagued this agency, which is troubled with a leadership vacuum all the way to the very top. This particular incident, reported Otto, an Army veteran passed away from cancer that went untreated because the VA couldn’t afford to get him in to see a doctor on time. That sentence bears exposure again for the readers here to experience the gravity of the circumstance. In this day and age, some two and a half centuries into our illustrious country of statehood, that something that ugly could happen just seems totally and irrevocably impossible unless a demented terrorist was on the loose. To what kind of leaders have we entrusted the lives of those who put their own lives on the line for their country?

I won’t repeat the name of the Army veteran involved here to save some unjustified pain for his relatives, but I will repeat Mr. Otto’s charge that the veteran had a form of cancer that could have been detected and fought. But the VA delayed his doctor’s appointment by 11 months, and by that time it was too late. TOO LATE! My God what do we have supposedly leading our wounded or impaired veterans IN A VA FACILITY? From the very top of this administration we must have heartless and SOUL-less monsters that worry only about themselves. If they are too busy to perform on time and accurately, FIRE THE SCOUNDRELS – FROM THE TOP ON DOWN. We should not imperil ONE life waiting for politicians’ terms to expire; make them expire NOW; or we will cause more veterans to expire! The up-close and first scoundrel in this recounting is hard to believe. When I synopsize the longer accounting by Joe Otto, I won’t be surprised if you read it twice; just to see if something like it could ever happen to a supposedly American governmental facility. I recognize that a lot of un-Americans are employed in the current Administration and from the top down, they are committed to destroying our military and our loyal supporters of the America that was in charge just some eight years ago. But I ask myself: “Can they all, ‘from the top down’, be so hardhearted as to allow a fine young veteran to die so needlessly? I grant the top the benefit of the doubt and agree he may have had no softness at all. Summing up the culprit from the beginning of this accounting, the VA Inspector General discovered a female VA employee who stole about $130,000 over a period of time from the VA, and as Otto said, “veterans were literally dying because there wasn’t enough funding to treat them in time, and quoting Otto again, “Instead of firing her, the VA demoted her.” Otto continues, “But she fought her demotion. She took the case to the Merit Systems Protection Board and that body just decided… that stealing $130,000 from our veterans does not warrant a demotion. They just reinstated her at her old inflated salary.” Again, corruptness and in fact, tastelessness, is running amuck at the Veterans Administration and like fish exposed to all-day sunshine, it is rotten from the head on down. By now you are probably as sick and disgusted with the VA and this Administration as I am and would like to see a happy ending. I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you with this final shot by Joe Otto, “When VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald came on board, he promised that he would hold corrupt bureaucrats accountable. He told us that he would stop at nothing to clean house at the VA. “He has been in charge of the VA for a year and a half and he has only fired THREE people. A VA employee caught stealing $130,000 just got reinstated.” The way I see it is those THREE people who got fired must have been American terrorists who stole Obama’s golf balls. Obviously high crimes and misdemeanors. Perhaps some of the folks who read this will be able to convince our Congress leaders to get impeachment proceedings initiated. Or are those leaders like the fish in a preceding paragraph?
