Paris Climate Accord

Congressman, Vern Buchanan is urging President Trump to stay in the Paris Climate Accord. This came out almost simultaneously with the news that the pollution in India is so bad that the reduced visibility is causing traffic accidents.
Now, I wonder how Rep. Buchanan can justify the expense to the United States, which is already practicing pollution control, when places like India are given waivers from the rules. This Accord was entered into unilaterally by Pres.Obama without approval by Congress. The initial cost to the United States is 100 billion annual. It goes up after that. This accord needs a second look. It needs to go through the proper channels. It needs to insure that all countries are working toward compliance now, not 10 or 15 years from now. If you believe climate change is man made then why in the world would you delay the timetable for reversing it? Oh, and by the way, the is no plan of how to accomplish the goal and no punishment for non-compliance. And believe it or not, despite being one of the most proactive countries on climate change, our pledge (or rather Pres. Obama's pledge) is a further reduction of greenhouse gases is a whopping 26-28% by 2025. Thank goodness Pres. Trump is taking a hard look at whether this is a good deal for the U.S.
