Today marks the most deadly shooting in American history. The shooter was apparently armed with a handgun and a powerful assault rifle. This massacre is therefore a further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon that lets them shoot people in a school, or in a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub. And we have to decide if that’s the kind of country we want to be. And to actively do nothing is a decision as well. It's a drumbeat we've heard before. Never mind Jihad, Islam, and Muslim extremism. Obama doesn't like those words. Guns are bad, and all you have to do to be safe is give up your right to defend yourself. We've heard it all before.
Say a prayer for them and say a prayer for their families — that God give them the strength to bear the unbearable. And that He give us all the strength to be there for them, and the strength and courage to change.Obviously, a prayer for the victims and their families is the proper reaction. A prayer that "we" change, however, is another of Obama's disgusting refusals to acknowledge the realities we face. Currently, there are at least 11 Muslim-run countries where Sharia law dictates jail or death for homosexuality. A recent poll of England found that more than half of the country's Muslim population favored making homosexuality illegal. At the same time, Sharia-adherent thugs carry out horrific Christian genocides, throw gays from rooftops, rape, behead, and incinerate anyone who dares to stand against them, treat women as property, obliterate the relics of human history, mutilate the genitals of little girls, dig and fill mass graves across the Middle East, commit mass abductions, and have such a feeble grasp of basic human rights that - when Europe generously welcomes them as refugees - they have to be taught not to rape and pillage.
